The 2011 Suffolk University Softball team was named to National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Top-10 All-Academic team list for the past academic year. During the 2010-11 academic calendar, Suffolk ranked fifth among all NCAA Division-III softball programs in the nation posting a 3.558 team grade-point average.

Freshman hurler Rae-Marie Copan (Newton, MA) allowed three runs off five hits in five innings to collect her eighth win of the season.

The 2011 GNAC Softball Playoff pairings are now available. The Emerson College Lions will clinch the top seed in the playoffs with an astonishing conference record of 22-2, and overall record of 26-10. The Lions played an incredible regular season, earning two critical one run games over conference rival St. Joseph’s ME in the first double-header of the season.
Chestnut Hill, MA – Pine Manor College swept a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) doubleheader from visiting Norwich University on Monday afternoon at a soggy Pine Manor Field in Chestnut Hill, MA. The Gators used a four-run third inning to help guide them to a win in game one before winning game two in dramatic fashion in the bottom of the eighth inning.
