PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Annie Thompson, Simmons, Sr., Pacific Palisades, CA
Simmons’ senior shortstop, Annie Thompson, tallied an .800 batting average and on base percentage in two GNAC double-headers this week. Thompson had 12 hits in 15 at-bats, including 7 doubles and 7 runs scored. She concluded the week with 8 RBI and a 1.267 slugging percentage. In the field, Thompson only committed one error in 12 chances at shortstop.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Brittany Rochford, Emerson, Fr., Irvine, CA
Emerson’s rookie outfielder, Brittany Rochford, continued her hot hitting with a .600 batting average gathering three hits in the Lions’ sweep of GNAC foe, Mount Ida. The rookie scored four runs, including the game winner in Emerson's 1-0 victory in the nightcap. On the week, Rochford accumulated a .800 slugging percentage and .750 on base percentage, while having a perfect performance in outfield.

Emerson’s freshman pitcher, Alex Magistro, pitched her first collegiate no-hitter against the Mount Ida Mustangs in her only appearance of the week. In this incredible accomplishment, Magistro struck out six batters and only walked one.
