Emerson's Alex Magistro Named ECAC D.III Softball Co-Pitcher of the Week
Emerson's Alex Magistro was honored as Co-Pitcher of the week by the Eastern College Athletic Conference for her spectacular performance last week after tossing a no-hitter against the Mount Ida College Mustangs.
Emerson's Alex Magistro was honored as Co-Pitcher of the week by the Eastern College Athletic Conference for her spectacular performance last week. The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) is the nation’s largest athletic conference and only multi-divisional conference, with approximately 300 member institutions and over 122,000 student-athletes ranging from Maine to North Carolina and westerly to Illinois.
The rookie pitcher threw her first collegiate no-hitter against the Mount Ida Mustangs in her only appearance of the week. In this incredible accomplishment, Magistro struck out six batters and only walked one, earning a 0.00 ERA. With help from Magistro, Emerson is currently leading the GNAC with a record of 8-0 in the conference and 12-8 overall. In addition to this ECAC honor, Magistro was named GNAC Pitcher of the week as well.
