Simmons' Anne Hennigan Appointed to NCAA Softball Committee

The Great Northeast Athletic Conference is proud to announce Anne Hennigan, currently the Head Softball Coach and Assistant to the Directors for Simmons College, as a newly appointed Member of the NCAA Softball Regional Advisory Committee. 

As a member of the NCAA Softball Regional Committee, Hennigan will participate with five other representatives in selecting and ranking the top teams in the Northeast region on a weekly basis. The rankings begin in late March and span the course of the season until the NCAA Division III Championship in May.

“I am honored to represent the GNAC as a member of the NCAA Softball Regional Advisory Committee,” stated Hennigan. “ Having witnessed the increased competitiveness within GNAC softball over the past 7 years, I look forward to promoting our programs and comparing them to other conferences in the Northeast.”

After being a former standout student-athlete at Simmons College, playing both field hockey and softball, Hennigan has been serving in the Simmons athletic department since 2006.
