SWIMMER OF THE WEEK Brandy Lewis, Norwich (Jr.) Junior Brandy Lewis was unstoppable in Norwich's home opener against Husson University this past Saturday (Nov. 2), racking up three individual victories in three of the most taxing events, in addition to being a part of a first-place relay team. She claimed Norwich's first individual win of the day, touching the wall in 11:41.97 in the 1000 freestyle, topping second place by over a minute. She immediately jumped back in the pool for the next event, taking first place in the 200 freestyle on a 2:10.07 time, defeating the closest Husson swimmer by nearly three seconds. She would return later on to take her third win, topping second place by nearly a full minute by posting a 5:39.83 effort in the 500 freestyle. She closed the day by swimming the third leg (27.86) of the 200 freestyle relay team, giving Norwich its 13th win out of 16 total events on the day. |

DIVER OF THE WEEK Reilly Laitala, Norwich (Jr.) Junior Reilly Laitala saw her first scoring action of the season in the Cadets' home opener against Husson University, first participating in the one meter diving optional, racking up a 175.20 score to top the closest Husson competitor by nearly six points. She then dominated the 1 meter diving voluntary, posting a 155.48 to top the nearest Husson diver's 138.61 effort. Her pair of diving victories gave Norwich two of their 13 wins, out of 16 total events. |

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK Alina Niemcyzk, University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) (Fr.) First-year Alina Niemczyk won three events for USJ during a double-dual meet sweep against Albertus Magnus and Saint Joseph's (Maine). Niemczyk started her day by being a member of the winning 200 yard medley relay team and then won the 200 yard IM, posting a time of 2:28.46. The first-year rounded out her afternoon by winning the 200 yard fly, recording a time of 2:35.87. |
WEEKLY HONOR ROLL
Joni McGillis, Elms - Won the 200-Yard Butterfly (2:39.92) and the 100-Yard Freestyle (59.54) while also finishing second in the 200-Yard Individual Medley (2:32.48).
Kali Taylor, Regis - Led Regis to a dual-meet victory over Plymouth State Friday night. She started with a blistering 50 free split of 27.72 seconds as Regis cruised to victory in the 200 medley relay with an overall time of 2:07.72. Touched the wall first in three individual events: the 200 freestyle in 2:10.17, the 50 freestyle in 27.93 seconds, and the 500 freestyle in 6:03.71.
Kiley Matthews, Saint Joseph's (Maine) - Won two individual events for the Monks (200 yard freestyle: 2:14.31, 100 yard freestyle: 1:00.35) and finished second in the 500 yard freestyle (6:22.65).
Chandler Douglas, University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) - Won the one-meter diving event for USJ during a double-dual meet against Albertus Magnus and Saint Joseph's (Maine) after posting an 11-dives score of 165.25 points.
