SWIMMER OF THE WEEK Olivia Luhnau, Regis (Sr.) Sophomore Olivia Luhnau opened the 2024-25 season with three individual event victories during Regis' dual meet against the University of Saint Joseph (Conn.). as she touched the wall first in the 50 breaststroke in 34.54 seconds, the 100 breaststroke in 1:18.23, and the 100 individual medley in 1:08.12. Saturday (Oct. 12) against a strong Babson squad, Luhnau finished third in both the 50 freestyle at 26.85 seconds and the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:08.62. |

DIVER OF THE WEEK Kira Geiger, University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) (So.) Sophomore Kira Geiger won the 1-meter diving event during the Blue Jays dual meet victory over Regis, tallying a score of 278.00 points. |

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK Alina Niemczyk, University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) (Fr.) First-year Alina Niemczyk guided the Blue Jays to victory over Regis during the teams season opener on Friday (Oct. 11) as she won every race she competed in, starting with being the butterfly leg on the 200 yard medley relay team, posting a split time of 29.25 seconds to secure the win for the Blue Jays. She also won the 100-yard fly, posting a time of 1:07.48 and the 50-yard fly, recording a time of 29.36 seconds. The first-year rounded out her day by being on the winning 200-yard freestyle relay team, posting a split of 28.87 seconds. |
WEEKLY HONOR ROLL
Reilly Laitala, Norwich – In her lone dive in the Keene State Sprint Pentathalon, she scored 218.25 in the 1M dive (2nd).
Alexia Grech, University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) – Guided the Blue Jays to victory over Regis during the teams season opener as she won every race she competed in, starting with being the anchor freestyle leg on the 200 yard medley relay team, posting a split time of 27.75 seconds to secure the win for USJ. Won the 50-yard free, posting a time of 27.85 seconds. Also won the 100-yard free, recording a time of 1:01.68. Rounded out her day by being on the winning 200-yard freestyle relay team, posting a team-best split of 27.94 seconds.
