GNAC Men's Tennis Report: Week 7
Colby-Sawyer's Alex Wright earned his third honor in the final report of the season.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK Alex Wright, Colby-Sawyer (Sr. - St. Austell, Cornwall, England) Wright won his singles and doubles matches at the top flights in a pivotal 7-2 victory over Johnson & Wales that secured a spot for the Chargers in the GNAC postseason. He defeated his No. 1 singles opponent 6-1, 6-1 and combined with Julius Lowman at No. 1 doubles for an 8-6 victory. |

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK Sebastian Torres, Regis (Mass.) (Fr. - San Juan, Puerto Rico)
Torres was perfect during the week as Regis won three matches in three days. He lost just one game in his singles match against UMass Dartmouth (6-1, 6-0), and then he defeated Suffolk (6-3, 6-2) and Norwich (6-3, 6-1) at number one singles, with both victories coming in straight sets. He joined with Owen Pellisier at second doubles for three victories, losing a total of nine games in the three sets.

WEEK 7 HONOR ROLL
Julius Lowman , Colby-Sawyer (Fr. - Bavaria, Germany) - Lowman picked up a couple of points for the Chargers in a crucial 7-2 regular season finale victory over Johnson & Wales that locked up a spot in the GNAC postseason. He won his No. 3 singles match 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 and combined with Alex Wright at the top doubles flight for an 8-6 victory.
