GNAC Women's Soccer Report: Week 9
USJ took home GNAC Player and Goalkeeper of the Week honors in the final report of the season.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK Maxine Muscatello, St. Joseph (Conn.) (Jr., F - Berlin, Conn.) - Muscatello had a monster 12-point week for USJ, helping the Blue Jays go 3-0 on the week, including a victory over Albertus Magnus in the GNAC Quarterfinals on Saturday night where she scored the game-winning goal. Muscatello factored in every game on the week, netting five goals to go along with a pair of assists for 12 points over the seven-day span. She opened the final week of the regular season with a pair of goals on Monday in a 4-2 victory at home over Simmons before adding a goal and two assists on Thursday at Dean in another 4-2 triumph, which secured the fourth seed and a GNAC Tournament home game for USJ for the first time since 2012. In the GNAC Quarterfinal versus fifth-seeded Albertus Magnus, Muscatello netted the first goal of the game and then added an insurance goal in the 82nd minute as the Blue Jays prevailed 3-0 to advance to the GNAC Semifinals for the first time since 2015.

GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK Victoria Schaffner, St. Joseph (Conn.) (So., GK - Waterbury, Conn.) - Schaffner recorded five saves in a 3-0 week for the Blue Jays, including a four-save shutout on Saturday in a GNAC Quarterfinal victory over the fifth-seeded Albertus Magnus Falcons. Schaffner leads the league in shutouts with eight on the season.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK Alicen Burnham, Saint Joseph's (Maine) (Freshman, F - Monmouth, Maine) - Burnham scored two goals and added an assist in a 2-0 week for the Monks. The freshman forward played a hand in both of the SJC goals with a goal and an assist in a 2-0 tourney win over Elms on Saturday.

HONOR ROLL
Jordan Restivo, Johnson & Wales (RI) (Jr., F - Utica, N.Y.) - In her lone game of the week, Jordan Restivo notched two goals to lead the JWU Wildcats past the Emmanuel (Mass.) Saints on Saturday night in the GNAC quaterfinals. In the shutout performance by the Wildcats, Restivo opened up the scoring in the first had, scoring the game winning goal with a shot from outside of the box. She added another just minutes later to extend the Wildcat lead to two. She finished with four shots on goal, a .571 shot on goal percentage, and four points.
