MEN'S RUNNER OF THE WEEK

Ben Jones, Colby-Sawyer (Sr., Enfield, N.H.)

Jones turned in a break-through performance to lead the Chargers at Saturday's James Earley Invitational hosted by Westfield State. He came away with a personal best 8k time of 26:34.95 (5:20.9 average mile) to finish in 12th out of 206 runners. Colby-Sawyer finished ninth out of 28 teams.

WOMEN'S RUNNER / ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Zoe Utton, Colby-Sawyer (Fr., Charlestown, N.H.)

Utton led the Colby-Sawyer women's cross country team at Saturday's James Earley Invitational hosted by Westfield State. Utton posted a personal best 5k time of 19:00.29 (6:07.1 avg mile) to finish 10th out of 223 runners and help Colby-Sawyer place 7th out of 28 teams.

MEN'S ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

David Kavanaugh, University of Saint Joseph (Fr., West Hartford, Conn.)

Led the Blue Jays to the line with a 46th place finish of 206 runners in 27:43 (5:34 Mile Pace). Was the highest finishing freshman runner of all the GNAC schools (only four GNAC runners finished higher, three of them seniors), and the seventh highest freshman finisher in the 8K overall. Has led the men's cross country team across the line in every event this season.

 
WEEK 7 HONOR ROLL
 
Hannah Fitzpatrick, Emmanuel (So., Revere, Mass.) - Fitzpatrick paced Emmanuel with an 11th place finish at the Runnin' Monks invite this weekend in Standish, Maine. She was the top EC finisher with a time of 25:58 and the third GNAC runner to complete the 6K course.
 
Kyle Hajj, Emmanuel (Jr., Methuen, Mass.) - Hajj ran well for Emmanuel at the Runnin' Monks invite, placing eighth overall in the men's field with a time of 28:11 in the 8K course. He was the third GNAC runner to complete the race, averaging 5:41 mile splits.

Remi Parker, Norwich (Fr.) - Parker led the Cadets for the fourth consecutive race, finishing in 25th place overall in 19:38.59 on the 5k course at Saturday's James Earley Invitational hosted by Westfield State University.

Trenton Shimata, Norwich (Jr., Colorado Springs, Colo.) - Norwich was paced by junior Trenton Shimata, who finished 28th overall with a time of 27:02.88 on the 8k course at Saturday's James Earley Invitational, hosted by Westfield State University.
 
Maddie Boucias, Regis (Mass.) (Sr., Buckland, Mass.) - Maddie Boucias was Regis' top finisher in Saturday's Runnin' Monks Invitational. Competing in her first six-kilometer race of the season, Boucias posted a time of 26:25.1 to finish in 13th place. It is Boucias's third top-15 placement of the season.
 
JJ Pedersen, Regis (Mass.) (Sr., Milford, Conn.) - JJ Pedersen picked up another top-five finish as he led the Pride at the Runnin' Monks Invitational Saturday. Pedersen posted an eight-kilometer time of 28:01.5 to finish in fifth place, just 8.4 seconds behind the third-place finisher. It is Pedersen's third top-five placement of the season.
  
Troy Hendricks, Saint Joseph's (ME) (So., Hiram, Maine) - Hendricks placed second in the 8K Runnin' Monks Invitational on Saturday with a 27:14 time.
 
Kelsey Kennedy, Saint Joseph's (ME) (Fr., Cape Elizabeth, Maine) - Kennedy posted a 25:47 time and placed ninth overall in the 6K Runnin' Monks Invitational on Saturday.
 
Alice Najimy, Simmons  (So., Pittsfield, Mass.) - The sophomore posted a six-kilometer time of 25:20 to finish fourth and register an average mile time of 6:48 at the Runnin' Monks Invitational in Standish, Maine on October 12th.
