PLAYER/ROOKIE OF THE WEEK Maddie Rossetti, University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) (Fr.) First-year Maddie Rossetti went 3-1 for the Blue Jays this past week, going 2-0 in singles play and 1-1 in doubles play. Rossetti earned two victories for the Blue Jays against a very tough non-conference opponent in Rhode Island College, winning straight sets 7-5 and 6-0 in singles play and securing a 6-2 win in doubles with teammate Olivia Santoro. The first-year finished winning at No. 2 singles against reigning three-time GNAC Champion Colby-Sawyer, 4-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-3). |
