Regis rookie Kiana Thompson improved to a perfect 8-0 in both singles and doubles as the Pride defeated Simmons in the GNAC Tournament Semifinals on Saturday, 5-0.

PLAYER / ROOKIE OF THE WEEK Kiana Thompson, Regis (Fy. - Boynton Beach, Fla.) - Thompson improved to a perfect 8-0 in both singles and doubles as the Pride defeated Simmons in the GNAC Tournament semifinals Saturday, 5-0. First, Thompson teamed with Samantha Gevry for an 8-1 victory at number one doubles over Avery Halloran and Olga Zhizhin. At number one singles, she defeated Zhizhin in straight sets (6-2, 6-0) to clinch the overall match for Regis, sending the Pride to the GNAC Tournament title match for the second straight season. |
