Colby-Sawyer Falls to Williams in NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Tournament
Colby-Sawyer women's tennis competed in the first round of the 2022 NCAA Division III Tournament hosted by MIT on the Dupont Tennis Courts on Friday evening.

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Colby-Sawyer women's tennis team competed in the first round of the 2022 NCAA Division III Championship Tournament hosted by MIT on the Dupont Tennis Courts on Friday evening. The Chargers dropped their match against Williams College, 5-0 to close out the 2021-22 tennis season.
Both the teams of first-year Grace Carpenter (Milford, N.H.) and junior Emily Hill (Wilmington, Mass.), and senior Amira Eid (Pelham, N.H.) and first-year Amelia Campanella (Chepachet, R.I.) each took a point off the 10-time NCAA Championship program of Williams College during doubles play.
After trailing by three in doubles, first year Elise Hogan (Duxbury, Mass.) held on for the Chargers as she scored the only point in singles for the Colby-Sawyer squad.
The Ephs of Williams College wrapped up two more victories in singles to finish the match with a 5-0 sweep over the Chargers in the first round of the NCAA Division III Tournament.
