WOMEN'S TENNIS: Colby-Sawyer Sweeps Major All-Conference Awards
The GNAC champion Chargers took home the conference's Player, Rookie and Coach of the Year honors, as announced by the league office on Thursday.

WINTHROP, Mass. – League champion Colby-Sawyer College, which won its second-ever GNAC Women's Tennis Championship this past weekend with a 5-0 win over Regis College, has swept the 2021 GNAC major awards while placing four on the All-Conference Teams, as announced on Thursday.
Chargers sophomore Lindsay Macdonald (pictured) was selected as the 2021 GNAC Player of the Year, as voted upon by the league's head coaches, and CSC freshman Grace Carpenter was named the GNAC Rookie of the Year.
The pair of All-GNAC First Teamers also received Doubles honors, with Carpenter named First Team with teammate Emily Hill and Macdonald named Second Team with teammate Elise Hogan. Macdonald went 5-0 in singles and 6-0 in doubles against GNAC competition, while Carpenter was 7-0 in both singles and doubles league action.
Longtime Chargers head coach Barry Schoonmaker was voted the 2021 GNAC Coach of the Year by his peers after guiding Colby-Sawyer to another GNAC Championship. With the tournament victory, CSC earns the GNAC's automatic qualifier and will compete in the 2022 NCAA Division III Tournament next spring.
Joining the Player and Rookie of the Year on the All-GNAC First Team were Albertus Magnus College freshman JuJu Oliver, Colby-Sawyer's Hill, Regis senior Katelyn Mogelnicki, and Simmons University sophomore Olga Zhizhin.
