GNAC Announces 2015 Women's Tennis Tournament Matchups
Simmons went 6-0 in league play to earn the tournament's top seed. The semifinals and final will take place Oct. 24-25 at the Winchester Tennis Center.

WINTHROP, Mass. – Simmons College women's tennis will look to lay claim to its 11th Great Northeast Athletic Conference Championship in 12 years when the 2015 GNAC Tournament gets underway next week. The Sharks again went a perfect 6-0 in league play to run its GNAC regular-season unbeaten streak to 58 straight victories.
As the top seed, Simmons earns a bye into the semifinals along with second-seeded Suffolk University. Next weekend's semifinals and final, scheduled for Saturday, October 24 and Sunday, October 25, will be played indoors at the Winchester Indoor Tennis Center in Winchester, Mass.
GNAC Tournament first-round action will take place on Wednesday, October 21, as third-seeded Johnson & Wales University will host sixth-seeded Mount Ida College and fifth-seeded Albertus Magnus College will travel to fourth-seeded University of Saint Joseph (Conn.).
Simmons will draw the Albertus-USJ winner on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Winchester, while Suffolk will take on the Mount Ida-JWU winner at 4:30 p.m.
Sunday's GNAC title contest will be played to completion and is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. at Winchester.
Founded in 1995, the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) is an NCAA Division III association made up of 12 member institutions, 12 associate member institutions, and over 3,000 student-athletes across the New England region.
