President Obama Visits Former Suffolk Women's Tennis Player in Hospital

BOSTON, Mass. - President Barack Obama made a special visit to Mass General Hospital last week to visit those injured in the bombings that took place on Monday, April 15 during the 117th Boston Marathon. Former Suffolk University Women's Tennis player Kaitlynn Cates suffered serious injuries to her legs during the explosions and is pictured here with President Obama during the visit. 

Cates was the 2008 GNAC Women's Tennis Player of the Year. Suffolk University Athletic Director Jim Nelson visited with Kaitlynn over the weekened and her doctors have told her that she will be able to walk again and to play tennis.

The Great Northeast Athletic Conference sends its thoughts and prayers to Kaitlynn and everyone else impacted by the tragic events that occured on Marathon Monday, wishing all a speedy and healthy recovery.
