FOR THE WEEK OF JAN. 17 - 23

PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Meg Carroll, Lasell (Senior, Forward - Douglas, Mass.) - In an 85-70 overtime winner against Rivier, Carroll had 24 points (6-18 FG, 12-16 FT) to go with 14 rebounds (eight offensive) and two assists.
 

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Jakara Murray-Leach, Albertus Magnus (Fr., G/F - Norwalk, Conn.) - Murray-Leach averaged an impressive 23.3 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 3.7 steals while shooting 40.3% from the field (27-67) and 72.7% from the charity stripe (8-11) in a 3-0 week for the Falcons. The rookie from Norwalk, Conn. opened the week tallying 25 points, eight rebounds, an assist, four steals, and a block in the Falcons' 66-53 win at Elms. Two days later, she poured in 17 points while grabbing seven rebounds and four steals in Thursday's 52-34 win over JWU. She then closed out the week scoring an impressive 28 points, eight rebounds, and three steals in the 76-57 win over Norwich.

Marinique Reddin, Anna Maria (Fr., F - Tampa, Fla.) - The stellar rookie averaged 19.5 points and 6.5 rebounds per game in a pair of setbacks last week. Reddin starred in the AMCATS' rally against Regis on Thursday, scoring 22 points before the Anna Maria came up just one point short against the Pride.
 
Loredana D'Agostino, Emmanuel (Mass.) (Sr, F - Broad Brook, Conn.) - D'Agostino averaged 11.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 4.5 steals in another 2-0 week for Emmanuel to help the Saints improve to 13-1, matching the best start in program history through 14 games. The senior was perfect from the FT line going 10-10 on the week and added three assists and two blocks while playing modest minutes (22.0 mpg) for EC.
  
Jasmine DePina, Lasell (Freshman, Guard - Providence, R.I.) - DePina recorded a program-record 27 rebounds (eight offensive) in an 85-70 overtime victory over Rivier on Saturday. She rounded out the stat line with six points, five assists and a pair of steals. 
 
Maren McGinn, Norwich (Fr., F - Georgia, Vt.) - McGinn scored 18 points while shooting 66.7 percent from the field in the lone Cadet contest of the week. On the road at Albertus, McGinn also recorded the first double-double of her career pulling down 10 rebounds, five offensive and five defensive.
 
Arie Searcy, Regis (Mass.) (Sr., F - Santa Rosa, Calif.) - Searcy led the Pride to two league road victories over the past week. Thursday at Anna Maria, she notched her fifth career double-double with 15 points and a career-high 16 rebounds along with six assists, two steals, and three blocked shots. Saturday at Elms, Searcy finished with 14 points, eight rebounds, two assists, and two blocked shots as the Pride completed the season sweep over the Blazers. For the season, Searcy is now averaging 10.1 points, 8.0 rebounds, 1.8 steals, and 2.0 blocks per game, leading the GNAC in blocks per game.
