PLAYER OF THE WEEK Rubelsi Moran, Anna Maria (Sr., F) Senior forward Rubelsi Moran recorded three goals over two games, leading the Amcats to a split week in conference play. On Wednesday (Sept. 25), the Amcats faced off against the defending GNAC champions, Johnson & Wales, where Moran netted the team's only goal and registered three shots on target in a 2-1 loss. However, on Saturday (Sept. 28) against Dean, he continued his strong performance, scoring two of the Amcats' three goals, including the game-winner, in a 3-1 victory. Moran is tied for first in goals (6), and is in second for total points (13). |

GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK Valter Santiago, Anna Maria (Gr., GK) Graduate goalkeeper Valter Santiago delivered a standout week in goal for the Amcats, starting both games. On Wednesday (Sept. 25) against defending champion Johnson & Wales, Santiago tallied 12 saves, allowing just two goals to keep the game competitive in a 2-1 loss. He followed up with another strong showing on Saturday (Sept. 28) against Dean, making eight saves in a 3-1 victory. Santiago finished the week with 21 saves and an impressive .875 save percentage. He currently leads the GNAC in total saves (62) and ranks second in save percentage (.899).

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK Jacob Beck, Emmanuel (Fy., D) Saints rookie defender Jacob Beck made a big impact this week, starting both games and racking up five points over two matches. He found the back of the net in both contests while also adding an assist. On Wednesday (Sept. 25) against Albertus Magnus, Beck scored the opening goal just under 20 seconds into the game, which contributed to the Saints securing the 3-3 draw. On Saturday (Sept. 28), he played a key role in both Saints' goals, scoring one and assisting on the other, with his goal serving as the game-winner. |
WEEKLY HONOR ROLL
Johan Stagnaro, Albertus Magnus - The senior midfielder tallied five points this week, scoring a goal in a 3-3 tie against Emmanuel and delivering an impressive three assists in a 4-0 victory over Elms.
Jake Richard, Dean - The junior forward netted three goals over a 1-1 week, including both goals in a 2-1 GNAC victory against Colby-Sawyer. He also scored the team's only goal in a 3-1 loss to Anna Maria. Across both games, he fired off 15 shots, with nine on target.
Federico Lavini-Ayalla, Regis (Mass.) - The senior forward recorded the first hat trick for Regis men's soccer in eight years during Wednesday's win over Mitchell. With the game tied 2-2 early in the second half, Lavini-Ayalla scured the win by converting a penalty kick and locking in the game winner.
Logan Clough, Rivier - Raiders goalkeeper Logan Clough made 12 saves across two games while only conceding two. He recorded seven saves in a 2-0 loss to Saint Josephs College (Me.) and then picked up a five save shutout victory in a 1-0 win against Lasell.
