PLAYER OF THE WEEK Evan Dennis, Colby-Sawyer (So., P/1B) Sophomore Evan Dennis was on a tear for the Chargers this past week at the plate as the East Ryegate, Vt. native batted .700 with an on-base percentage (OBP) of .750 and a slugging percentage (SLG) of 1.050. Dennis had a hit in all six contests going 14-for-20, five of them being multi-hit games. The Sophomore hit four doubles and collected nine rbi's. His heroics highlighted his week as he collected a solo homer to kick start a Colby-Sawyer comeback before collecting the game-winning hit off a bases loaded single to defeat Dean. |

PITCHER OF THE WEEK Aidan Vining, Johnson & Wales (Jr., P) Junior Aidan Vining was outstanding on the mound in his lone start this week as the Woburn, Mass. native pitched a complete game, earning the victory in a key conference game against Mitchell. Vining fanned 15 batters, only allowing one walk in the process with a 3.00 era. The junior improved to 6-0 on the season, and in the process moved into first place on the all-time strikeout list at JWU with 273. The league-leader in that category, Vining is also sixth in the nation with 79 on the year. |

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK Nic Frink, Saint Joseph's (Maine) (Fr., C) First-year Nic Frink was strong for the Monks offensively as the Scarborough, Maine native went 15-for-27, plating a .556% batting average with four doubles, a home run and six RBI. Frink registered a hit in every single contest for the Monks, in which he had multi-hit games in five of the seven for SJC. His week was highlighted by a three-run homer that was launched in the second game of their doubleheader victory over Rivier. |
WEEKLY HONOR ROLL
Nick Choate, Anna Maria - Went 1-1 on the mound for the Amcats, totaling 18 strikeouts across 11 innings of work and posting a 2.45 era.
Jonathan Guardascione, Anna Maria - Went 12-for-20 on a .600% average with eight RBI, including four doubles.
Eddy Garabito, Albertus Magnus - Went 11-for-25 for a .440% average with eight RBI, collecting three doubles and two homers on the week.
Jack Mullen, Colby-Sawyer - Pitched 8.2 scoreless innings of relief across three games, two of which he earned victories as he struck out 16 while only allowing four hits.
CJ Mills, Lasell - Went 9-for-21 (.429) with four RBI and three homers for the Lasers. Went yard twice in win over the University of Saint Joseph (Conn.).
Zachary Simone, Lasell - Pitched a scoreless complete game with five strikeouts in a win over USJ.
Owen Davis, Johnson & Wales - batted .500 with three doubles and six RBI as the Wildcats went won two of their three GNAC contests. He laced a two-run single in a road win at first-place Mitchell on Friday and also plated one in the nightcap against the Mariners. On Saturday, Davis went 3-for-4 with three doubles, three RBI and three runs scored in a win over Rivier.
Eddie Kaftan, Mitchell - Tossed six innings of one run ball in a win over Johnson & Wales. Kaftan improved his record to 6-2, scattering just five hits and one walk, while striking out seven.
Chas Terni Jr., Mitchell - Went 5-for-8 across a GNAC doubeleahder split against JWU, with a double, triple, and two home runs, while driving in seven runs and scoring four times. The right fielder began the day with a 2-for-4 performance in the opener, doubling and scoring once. Terni Jr. then erupted for three hits in the second game against the Wildcats, homering twice, lacing a triple, driving in seven runs, and scoring three times.
Michael Sabasteanski, Norwich - Was a force to be reckoned with in Norwich's doubleheader sweep of NEC. In the games combined, he went 5-for-7 with seven RBI, two Runs, a triple and seven total bases.
Padraig Mac Seain, Saint Joseph's (Maine) - Earned the win over Rivier, striking out eight in eight scoreless innings on the mound, giving up four hits and one walk.
Brandon Cahill, University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) - Tossed a four-hit complete-game shutout with six strikeouts in a 2-0 GNAC victory over Norwich at home on Tuesday.
