GNAC Women's Volleyball Athlete's of the Week Report #4

PLAYER OF THE WEEK Avery Mola, Regis (So., OH) Sophomore outside hitter Avery Mola helped lead the Regis offense to a 2-1 week while notching two double-doubles. On Tuesday (Sept. 17) she posted her first double-double of the week while notching 11 kills and 17 digs against a strong WPI team. She also recorded a career high seven service aces in the 3-2 loss. On Saturday (Sept. 28), Mola helped the Pride go 2-0 in conference play. In the first match against Elms, she notched 12 kills while tacking on four service aces and three total blocks. Later that day, she achieved another double-double in a 3-0 win against New England College while registering 12 kills and 10 digs. She also tacked on five service aces. Mola currently leads the GNAC in total kills (142) and is tied for second in total service aces (33). |

SETTER OF THE WEEK Brooke Patnode, Colby-Sawyer (Sr., S) Senior setter Brooke Patnode positively contributed to the Chargers 3-0 week while recording 104 total assists and averaging 9.45 assists per set. To open up the week on Tuesday (Sept. 17), she dished out 34 assists in a 3-0 win against VTSU Castleton where she averaged 11.33 assists per set. On Friday (Sept. 21), in a double header match against Thomas, Patnode kept her foot on the gas and continued to dish out double digit assists. In match one she nearly recorded a double-double with 27 assists and eight digs in a 3-0 sweep over the Terriers. In match two, she notched an impressive 43 assists to go along with 18 digs to achieve her second double-double of the season. Patnode is currently ranked second in the GNAC for assists per set (7.34) and leads the GNAC in total assists (316). |

LIBERO OF THE WEEK Fernanda Ayala Rodriguez, University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) (Sr., L) Senior libero Fernanda Ayala Rodriguez held a big defensive presence for the Blue Jays in their 1-1 week. On Friday (Sept. 20), in a 3-1 win against conference opponent Norwich, Rodriguez tallied 27 digs and 16 service receptions while recording zero reception errors. She also tacked on four service aces in the match. On Saturday (Sept. 21) in a 3-1 loss to Sarah Lawrence, she notched 39 more digs with 25 service receptions, again recording zero reception errors. Rodriguez totaled 66 digs across the two games for an average of 8.25 digs per set. She was also perfect with service receptions, recording 41 total receptions with zero errors. She currently ranks second in the GNAC for digs per set (5.15). |

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK Nevaeh Arnold, Johnson & Wales (Fy., H) First-year hitter Neveah Arnold notched her first career triple-double as she helped the Wildcats go 2-0 this past week. On Wednesday (Sept. 18) against Gordon, she nearly reached her first double-double of her collegiate career while recording seven kills, 14 assists, and nine digs. She also tacked on three service aces and five block assists in the 3-1 win. Two days later, on Friday (Sept. 20) after being down 2-0 to Western New England, Arnold kept her momentum going and achieved a triple-double with 12 kills, 24 assists, and 12 digs. She played a big roll in securing the 3-2 come back win against the Golden Bears. In just two games Arnold recorded 19 kills, 38 assists, and 21 digs.

WEEKLY HONOR ROLL
Ally Majenski, Colby-Sawyer - Led the Chargers to a 3-0 week while recording 42 kills and 18 digs across three games.
Skylar Raskevitz, Dean - Averaged 5.50 digs per set in a 2-1 week for the Bulldogs. Had 55 total digs and also recorded 10 assists. Currently ranks third in the conferecne for digs per set (4.79).
Kason Huynh, Emmanuel - Recorded three kills, 31 assists, and nine digs in a 3-0 sweep over Fitchburg State. Is currently ranked first in the GNAC in assists per set (8.16) and second in total assists (261).
Peyton Oliver, Johnson & Wales - Helped the Wildcats achieve a 2-0 week. Notched 11 kills and seven digs against Gordon and helped pull off a big come back win against Western New England while recording 18 kills and nine digs.
Ahnasia Mckinney, Regis - Achieved her third triple-double of the season while recording 15 kills, 22 assists, and 11 digs in a 3-2 loss against WPI. Notched a double-double against Elms with 12 assists and 11 digs and nearly recorded another triple-double against New England College with nine kills, 18 assists, and nine digs.
