PLAYER OF THE WEEK Claire Conners, Simmons (Sr., OH) Senior outside hitter Claire Conners led Simmons to a 2-0 week against GNAC opponents with 4.29 kills, 3.57 digs, and 0.57 blocks per set. She also sung at a .316 rate. Both of her efforts were double-double performances starting with 16 kills and 13 digs in a four-set victory over Regis to open a GNAC tri-match on Saturday (Sept. 30). She also had three assists, three blocks, and two aces against the Pride. In the late game, she produced 14 kills and 12 digs as the Sharks swept Mitchell, 3-0. Conners averaged 4.9 points per set this week. |

SETTER/ROOKIE OF THE WEEK Kason Huynh, Emmanuel (Fy., S) First-year setter Kason Huynh did a little bit of everything for Emmanuel in a 2-1 week, all against GNAC opponents. She averaged 2.07 kills, 5.14 assists, and 2.36 digs for the Saints and produced a triple-double and two double-doubles. The triple-double came in a five-set victory over New England College on Wednesday (Sept. 27). She recorded 11 kills, 14 digs, and 23 assists as Emmanuel knocked off the Pilgrims. She followed that up with double-doubles in both ends of a tri-match against Norwich and Elms on Saturday (Sept. 30). First in a five-set loss to the Cadets, Huynh recorded 10 kills and 16 assists, just barely missing a second triple-double with nine digs. She also had five blocks against Norwich. She closed out the week with 33 assists and 10 digs in a four-set victory over Elms. |

LIBERO OF THE WEEK Paula Tanguilig, Emmanuel (Jr., L) Junior libero Paula Tanguilig was solid for Emmanuel in the Saints 2-1 conference week. She averaged 6.29 digs per set, while also contributing four assists per match. She eclipsed the 20-dig mark in all three contests, including back-to-back 30-dig showings in a tri-match against Norwich and Elms. Her 37 ups against the Blazers marked a new career-best. Prior to the tri-match on Saturday (Sept. 30), Tanguilig had 20 digs, four assists, and four service aces against New England College on Wednesday (Sept. 27). |
WEEKLY HONOR ROLL
Shalese Gordon, Albertus Magnus - Averaged over 23 assists per game. Had her top two outings of the year with 32 and 31 assists against Fitchburg State and Curry in a tri-match.
Alyssa Moore, Elms - Recorded 60 digs in a three-match conference week for Elms. Recorded 35 digs against Emmanuel.
Isabella Marquez, Emmanuel - Averaged 4.00 kills and 3.07 digs over a three-game stretch that helped Emmanuel to a 2-1 week. Added six aces and hit .264 from the floor over the three matches, including a career-high 22 kills in a win over Elms.
Peyton Oliver, Johnson & Wales - Averaged more than 15 kills and nearly seven digs per match. Racked up a double-double with 20 kills and 10 digs in a win over Saint Joseph's (Maine). Collected nine service aces and five blocks, while hitting .253.
Juliana Medini, Lasell - Helped Lasell to a 2-0 GNAC week, averaging 3.14 kills and swinging at an incredible .576 rate for the week. Also had 10 total blocks in two matches.
Autumn Parkhurst, Norwich - Tallied 21 digs, three assists, a service ace, and a kill to hand Emmanuel its first conference loss of the season. Recorded 41 digs two games against Emmanuel and Elms in total.
Ahnasia Mckinney, Regis - Played the first two sets in Regis' sweep of Saint Joseph's College, finishing with 19 assists and five digs. Notched her fourth career triple-double with 11 kills, 16 assists, and 11 digs against Simmons, plus she hit .409 in the match and added two service aces. Played the first two sets against Mitchell, collecting 19 assists along with two kills, three digs, and three total blocks.
Chelsea Simmons, Simmons - Paced the offense with 27 assists, while notching three total blocks - two solo and and one assisted. Registered 16 assists and 11 digs for her sixth double-double of the season in the final match of the day against Mitchell.
