Great Northeast Athletic Conference Women's Volleyball Report - Week 5

Offensive Player of the Week
Felicia Wachowiak (Milton, N.H.), Sophomore, Middle Blocker, Saint Joseph's College (ME)
Wachowiak was nearly unstoppable in a GNAC tri-match sweep on Saturday, as the sophomore tallied 25 kills and .595 attack percentage in shutout victories over Albertus Magnus College and University of Saint Joseph (CT). She was flawless versus the Falcons with 13 kills and no miscues in 17 attempts in the opener and closed the day with 12 kills against the Blue Jays. For the week, Wachowiak tallied 32 kills and 15 total blocks, with 13 solo rejections and a pair of assists.

Defensive Player of the Week
Kelcey Koolman (Bedford, N.H.), Sophomore, Libero, Mount Ida College
Koolman averaged seven digs per set in a week that included a 5-set victory for the Mustangs over Newbury. In that victory, Koolman served ten service aces, including on a run of five consecutive points, and also led all players with 25 digs. She collected 21 more digs in a conference game against Norwich, as well as two more service aces, of which she totaled 16 throughout the week.

Rookie of the Week
Molly McCormack (Ballston Lake, N.Y.), Freshman, Outside Hitter, Rivier College
Molly had an outstanding week helping the Raiders to their first ever win over Trinity College who is currently ranked 11th in New England. The 5'7 outside hitter registered a team high 31 kills in 9 sets played for the week (3.44 kills/set) all while hitting for an impressive .328 percentage. She also averaged 2.0 digs/set in the 9 sets. Molly highlighted her week with a 17 kill, .467 hitting percentage, and 10 dig effort in the win over Trinity College.
