WOTF: Emmanuel Picked To Finish First In Women's Outdoor Track/Field Pre-Championship Poll
WINTHROP, Mass. – The 2026 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Men's and Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championships will take place on Saturday-Sunday, Apr. 25-26 at Saint Joseph’s (Maine). The meet is scheduled to begin on Saturday at 1 p.m. with representatives from Colby-Sawyer, Emmanuel, Lasell, Regis, Saint Joseph's (Maine), and Simmons (Women’s) competing.
In preparation for the two-day championship event, the league's seven Women’s Indoor Track & Field head coaches conducted a Pre-Championship Poll last week in order of projected finish.
Coming in first with 34 points and four first-place votes is last year’s runner-up Emmanuel College. The Saints will look to claim their first title since 2023. Saint Joseph's (Maine) comes in second with the final two first-place votes closely with 32 points while Colby-Sawyer is projected to contend at the third spot with 19 points.
Regis received 18 points with a four-place projection, followed by Lasell (16) and Simmons (7) in that order to fill out the final two spots.
The GNAC Championships will feature 16 scoring events. The event order can be viewed directly here: CHAMPIONSHIPS INFO
