Carli Quinlan, Simmons (Sr.)
Senior Carli Quinlan turned in another strong sprint effort in the 100 yard butterfly, finishing in 59.73. Quinlan returned in the 100 yard freestyle, stopping the clock at 54.40.
Diver Of The Week
Christina Dupre-Honda, Regis (Fr.)
Freshman Christina Dupre-Honda captured the top spot at the Regis Invitational, scoring 334.40 in the 1-meter, 11-dives program.
Rookie Of The Week
Sophia Caruso, Regis (Fr.)
Freshman Sophia Caruso turned in a busy and impressive weekend at the Regis Invitational. The first-year opened the meet by setting a new Regis Pool record in the 50 freestyle with a time of 24.91. Caruso went on to help the Pride post season-best times in the 400 medley relay, 400 freestyle relay, and 200 freestyle relay, including a 4:08.64 in the 400 free that was nearly six seconds faster than the team’s previous best. She also claimed the top spot in the 100 freestyle with a time of 55.64, winning the event by nearly five seconds.
WEEKLY HONOR ROLL
Joni McGillis, Elms - Finished in 20th at the Jayden Szkirka Memorial Championships in the Women's 200 Individual Medley, 2:26.94, and the Women's 50 Freestyle, 26.25.
Sara Omar, University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) - Delivered a record-setting weekend at the Jayden Szkirka Memorial Championships on Friday (12/5) and Saturday (12/6), continuing her dominant freshman season. She set new women’s program and freshman records in the 500 Free (5:20.56), finishing seventh out of 28 swimmers, the 400 IM (4:55.04), finishing sixth out of 10 swimmers, and added a freshman record in the 200 Free (2:03.68), placing 19th out of 32 swimmers. Omar also collected a 12th place finish out of 17 in the 200 Back (2:20.66) and a 21st place finish out of 40 in the 100 Free (57.25) on the weekend.
