GNAC Swimming & Diving Report: Week 9

Jack Brennan, Norwich (Sr., Hopkinton, Mass.) - Brennan was impressive in his lone diving competition on Saturday's Middlebury Invite, posting a 369.05 score to finish third in an 11-person field. Brennan competed against premier competition from Williams College, Middlebury College, and Castleton University, edging out four fellow divers from Middlebury by narrow margins.

Nikky Avise, Norwich (Sr., Owens Cross Roads, Ala.) - Against stellar competition from the University of Vermont, Middlebury College, and Williams College, Avise stood out in impression fashion at the Middlebury Invite, first taking the top spot in the 29-person 50 yard butterfly, posting a 26.02 time to edge out a fellow swimmer from Williams by eight milliseconds. Avise returned later to finish in second out of 33 swimmers in the 50 yard freestyle, tallying a 24.77 time.

Adrian Riendeau, Norwich (Fr., Ridgecrest, Calif.) - Riendeau had an impressive afternoon for the Cadets at the Middlebury Invite on Friday, first participating as a leg in the 200 yard freestyle relay team that finished sixth out of 12 teams from Williams, Middlebury, and Castleton. Riendeau would later post strong showings in the 200 yard IM and the 50 yard freestyle, finishing 10th out of 23 in the latter event.
