Player Of The Week
Alana Picard, University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) (Sr.)
Senior Alana Picard had a standout week for the Blue Jays, totaling seven points on three goals and one assist. She started both matches, including a tough outing against Eastern Connecticut State (Sept. 3), before powering the offense in a 6-0 win over New England College (Sept. 6). In that victory, Picard recorded a hat trick with goals in the 25th, 28th, and 53rd minutes, while also adding an assist in the 7th minute.
Goalkeeper Of The Week
Bri Nugent, Rivier (Sr.)
Senior Bri Nugent had a strong week in net, totaling 10 saves in 135 minutes of action. She recorded eight stops in a 2-2 draw with WestConn (Sept. 2) before helping the Raiders to a 3-2 conference win over Regis (Sept. 6), where she posted a first-half shutout. Nugent finished the week with a .833 save percentage.
Rookie Of The Week
Sydney Ledoux, Colby-Sawyer (So.)
Sydney Ledoux had a breakout weekend for the Chargers, totaling four points on two goals. She netted her first collegiate goal in the fifth minute, which proved to be the game-winner, before adding a second in the 61st minute to cap a 2-0 victory over Thomas College (Me.) (Sept. 6). Ledoux also logged 67 minutes of play in a 3-2 win over Dean College (Sept. 7), helping the Chargers complete a weekend sweep.
WEEKLY HONOR ROLL
Lauren Ardolino, Colby-Sawyer - Posted a five-point week with two goals and an assist in a 3-2 win over Dean (Sept. 6). Netted the game-winner and was a factor in all three of the teams goals.
Jamie McDonough, Elms - Helped the Blazers to a 2-0 week with 2-1 wins over Fitchburg State (Sept. 3) and Norwich (Sept. 6). Scored in both games, including the game-winner against Fitchburg State.
Elizabeth DaSilva, Lasell - Recorded six saves while allowing just one goal in a 2-1 win over Mount Saint Mary College.
Ella Askren, Simmons - Netted her first two collegiate goals in a 2-0 win over Mass. Maritime (Sept. 3). She also tallied 11 shots on the week, seven of which were on target.
