Top-seeded JWU will host second-seeded Lasell in the GNAC title game after the two programs won in the semifinals on Tuesday.

NEWTON, Mass. - The Lasell University women's soccer team defeated the Albertus Magnus Falcons 3-0 Wednesday afternoon at Taylor Field. With the win, the team improves to 13-5-1 and advances to the GNAC Championship against top-seeded JWU this Saturday at 7:00 PM.
The Lasers got on the board in the 20th minute when Bobbi O'Guin (Newton, MA) dribbled her way down the left flank and worked her way into the box. She dribbled near post and pasted the ball to a streaking Serena Speight (Biddeford, ME) who then shot the ball into the net to give the Lasers a 1-0 lead.
Three minutes later Bobbi O'Guin crossed the ball towards Michelina D'Agostino (Longmeadow, MA). D'Agostino then headed the ball towards the net but the Falcons goalie swatted it away. The ball then fell to Sarah Lynch(Warwick, RI), who then took a dribble, and shot it into the net to increase the Laser lead. The score going into the half was 2-0 in favor of Lasell.
In the 70th minute, Julia Vaillancourt (Danvers, MA) crossed the ball into the box towards Serena Speight. Speight, one-timed the ball towards the far side of the net to make it 3-0 Lasers for the final score.
Laser goalie Kyli Swan (Queen Creek, AZ) finished the game with three saves. Falcons goalie Amy Stevens (Lincoln, RI) also had three saves in the game.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Graduate student Jordan Restivo scored the only goal of the match late in the first half to send the top-seeded Johnson & Wales (RI) University women's soccer team to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championship match with a 1-0 win over St. Joseph's (ME) in the Semifinals Tuesday night at the Scotts Miracle-Gro Athletic Complex.
The win sets up a rematch of last year's championship with No. 2 seed Lasell, which defeated Albertus Magnus 3-0 earlier today. Tonight's win was the 18th of the season for the Wildcats against only two losses and one tie, and ties them with the 2000 squad for single-season wins.
Freshman Kiersten Whalen was credited with an assist on Restivo's 23rd goal of the season. The reigning GNAC Offensive Player of the Year, Restivo now has 64 points on the season, which puts her among the top 10 scorers in all of Division III. Sophomore netminder Carly McCrumb kept the Monks (10-9-1) off the scoreboard, making two saves for her 11th win of 2022.
JWU outshot the visitors 36-5 and held a 10-2 edge in corner kicks.
