Norwich's Haley Brewster averaged 27.5 points and 6.5 rebounds per game in a 2-0 week for the Cadets in the final report of the 2022-23 campaign.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK Haley Brewster, Norwich (So, G - Virginia Beach, Va.) - Brewster was virtually unstoppable in a 2-0 week for Norwich, averaging 27.5 points and 6.5 rebounds while shooting 52.9% (18-34) overall, 50.0% (7-14) from three, and 80.0% (12-15) from the FT line. She poured in a new season-high 35 points in a critical road win at Colby-Sawyer, knocking down four treys and going 9-10 from the charity stripe. She followed that up by going 7-of-9 (77.8%) from the floor and 3-of-4 from long range to finish with 20 points, eight boards and four assists in a Senior Day win over Anna Maria. |

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK Shirle Major, Lasell (Freshman, G) - Major averaged 23.0 points, 2.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists in a 1-1 week, impressing with a 31-point performance in an 82-77 setback against GNAC South top seed Albertus Magnus.For the week, she shot 57.7% (15-26) overall, 60.0% (9-15) from three, and 87.5% (7-8) from the FT line. |
GNAC HONOR ROLL
Jakara Murray-Leach, Albertus Magnus (So., G/F - Norwalk, Conn.) - Murray-Leach put together two stellar performances last week in a pair of Albertus wins, averaging 21.0 points with 10.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 2.5 steals, and 1.0 blocks per game. The sophomore guard shot 17-for-32 (53.1%) from the field, 3-for-9 (33.3%) from three-point range, and 5-for-9 (55.6%) from the charity stripe. Murray-Leach began her week on Wednesday with 13 points, 11 rebounds, three assists, and three steals in the Falcons' 73-58 win over Elms. She followed that performance up with her 14 double-double of the season on 29 points and 10 rebounds to guide AMC to an 82-77 win over Lasell.
Kayla Jackson, Elms (First Year, F - Saugus, Mass.) - The first-year standout closed out her rookie season with 13.0 points and 8.5 rebounds in a two-game week, shooting an impressive 66.7% (10-15) from the field.
Olivia Matela, Emmanuel (Mass.) (Jr, G - Swampscott, Mass.) - Matela averaged 16.5 points and 10.0 rebounds in a 2-0 week for the Saints, highlighted by a 14-point, 16-rebound double-double on Sarurday at Rivier.
Pam Gonzalez, Regis (Mass.) (Sr., G - Revere, Mass.) - Gonzalez led Regis to clinch a home GNAC Tournament quarterfinal game, averaging 15.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 4.0 steals as the Pride went 1-1. She finished with nine points, seven rebounds, and three assists at Saint Joseph's of Maine on Tuesday night. Ob Saturday, she scored 21 points in just 23 minutes of action, plus she stuffed the stat sheet with five rebounds, six assists, and seven steals, tying her career high in that statistic.
