PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Yannie Chan, Emmanuel (Mass.)
(So, F - Hong Kong, China) - In a 2-0 stretch for the Saints down at the Florida Sunshine Shootout, Chan averaged 18.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 5.5 steals in wins over Colby and North Central (Minn), on Dec 29-30. After being called upon for just 19 minutes of action in a 72-46 win over Colby (11 PTS, 4 REB, 4 AST, 6 STL), Chan had 26 points on 9-of-19 shooting, including 7-of-9 from the FT line to go with seven boards, seven assists, and five steals versus No. Central (Minn).

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Angelina Giordano, Emmanuel (Mass.) (Fr, G - Chicago, Ill.) - Giordano averaged 10.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists in a 2-0 week for the Saints, while shooting a stellar 75% (6-8 FG, 2-3 3PT, 6-14 FT) overall from the floor. After nine points, four boards and four assists in 23 minutes of a 74-46 win over Colby, the rookie registered 11 points, four more caroms and two steals in 21 minutes of action in a 95-59 victory at North Central (Minn.).
