Albertus Magnus sophomore Jakara Murray-Leach repeated as GNAC Player of the Week following a 20-point, 13-rebound performance in a win over Western New England.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK Jakara Murray-Leach, Albertus Magnus (So., G/F - Norwalk, Conn.) - Murray-Leach picked up her first double-double of the season with a 20-point, 13-rebound performance in the Falcons' 73-61 win at Western New England. Along with her double-double, she chipped in two assists, two steals, and two blocks over 36 minutes of play. The sophomore guard also went 8-for-17 (47.1%) from the field and 4-for-6 (66.7%) from the free throw line. |

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK Megan Reilly, Emmanuel (Mass.) (Fr, F - Southbury, Conn.) - Reilly nearly averaged a double-double in a 2-0 week for the Saints, averaging 9.0 points and 9.0 rebounds in wins over Medgar Evers and Brooklyn College in the 39th Annual EC Tip-Off Classic. The first-year added three steals, one blocked shot and one assist over the two games in which she averaged 20.0 minutes of action for Emmanuel. |
GNAC HONOR ROLL
Olivia Matela, Emmanuel (Mass.) (Jr, G - Swampscott, Mass.) - Matela paced the Saints in a 2-0 week averaging a team-best 15.0 points in wins over Medgar Evers and Brooklyn College during the 39th Annual EC Tip-Off Classic. Matela netted a career-high 22 points on 8-of-10 shooting vs. Brooklyn in a rematch of last year's NCAA tournament first-round match-up, going 6-for-7 from behind the arc, ending the week with a 70.6% shooting clip while also dishing out seven assists, grabbing six rebounds and collecting five steals for EC.
Juju Nealy, Lasell (Sophomore, G) - Nealy averaged 19.5 points, 4.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists in a 1-1 week for the Lasers, registering 23 points (8-13 FG) and six assists in a 73-55 win over Maine-Farmington.
Haley Brewster, Norwich (So, G - Virginia Beach, Va.) - Brewster was an offensive stalwart for the Cadets in a 2-1 week, finishing just shy of averaging a double-double with an average of 21.0 points and 9.7 rebounds. Brewster opened up the week with a 16-point showing in a dominant win over Lesley, before posting 18 against NVU-Johnson. She closed the week in dominant fashion in a nail-biting win over NVU-Lyndon, pouring in 29 points, including a 11-13 performance from the charity stripe, to go with 15 rebounds and six steals. For the week, Brewster was 18-22 from the line, while averaging 2.0 assists and 3.0 steals.
Pam Gonzalez, Regis (Mass.) (Sr., G - Revere, Mass.) - Gonzalez averaged 21.0 points, 10.0 rebounds and 3.5 steals in a pair of games last week. She produced one of the top offensive performances in program history last Wednesday at Wheaton, shooting 14-for-27 from the field, including 3-for-6 from behind the three-point line, and 5-for-6 from the FT line to finish with 36 points, the second-highest single-game point total in Regis history by one point. Playing all 45 minutes of the overtime game, she also pulled down a career-high 16 rebounds and earned four steals. On Saturday at UNE, Gonzalez grabbed nine rebounds and earned three steals to go along with six points.
Lyric Grumblatt, Rivier (Jr., G - Manchester, N.H.) - Grumblatt averaged 25.3 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 4.3 assists and 2.7 steals in a 1-2 week for the Raiders, shooting 44.8% (26-58) overall and 46.9% (15-32) from three. She totaled 29 points and 33 points against Plymouth State and Fitchburg State, respectively, and also double-doubled (14 PTS, 12 REB) against Worcester State.
Jordan Ouellette, St. Joseph (Conn.) (Jr., G/F - Bristol, Conn.) - The junior paced USJ to a dominating win over MCLA, dropping 16 points while tallying nine rebounds, four assists, two blocks and a steal.
Angelica Hurley, Saint Joseph's (Maine) (Junior, G/F - Groveland, Mass.) - Hurley averaged 12.5 points and 8.5 rebounds in a pair of SJC losses last week.
