Player of the Week
Kendrea Walker (New Haven, Conn.), Senior, Forward, Albertus Magnus College
Walker led the Falcons with a career-high 38 points in the Falcons' come-from-behind victory over JWU on Saturday. She bested her previous career-high tally by one point (37). Walker shot 13-of-20 from the floor and hit 12 of her 16 attempts from the free-throw line. With 13 rebounds, she recorded her fifth-straight double-double as well. In the two previous games on the week, she led the Falcons with 23 points in a loss to Saint Joseph's Maine and tallied 13 points and 16 rebounds in a win over Simmons. On the week, she shot 58% from the field and averaged 14.3 rebounds per contest.
Rookie of the Week
Morgan Cahill (Yarmouth, Maine), Freshman, Center, Saint Joseph's College (ME)
Cahill averaged 12.3 PPG and 9.7 RPG while shooting 51.5% (17-33) from the field in a 3-0 conference week for the Monks. She netted seven and pulled down 10 caroms in a victory over Lasell on Tuesday, added 14 points and seven rebounds in a win at Albertus Magnus on Thursday, and capped the regular-season with her GNAC-leading 10th double-double with 16 points and 12 boards in a convincing triumph over Emerson College on Saturday.
