Player of the Week
Aliah Curry (Windsor, Mass.), Sophomore, Guard, Norwich University
Curry averaged 28 points in a 2-0 weekend for Norwich at the Plymouth State Tip-Off Tournament, scoring 27 points against Elms College on Friday and 29 points against Eastern Nazarene on Saturday. Curry shot 37.8 percent from the floor on the weekend, connecting for 17 field goals in 45 attempts. She also connected for 75 percent of attempted three-point field goals against Eastern Nazarene and was named the tournament MVP for her efforts. Curry also added four assists and four steals.
Rookie of the Week
Kelsey Pendagast (Shelton, Conn.), Freshman, Forward, Albertus Magnus College
Pendagast was named to the Blue Angel Tip-Off Tournament All-Tournament Team for her performance over the weekend. In the Falcons' win over Yeshiva, she pulled down an impressive 13 rebounds, while she scored 12 points in the Falcons' win over the College of New Rochelle. In her collegiate debut with the Falcons on Thursday, Kelsey recorded her first career double-double (had 10 pts and 10 boards in the first half of play) as she finished with 13 points and 15 rebounds.
