Emmanuel's Caileigh Blackmer sets school record in final meet before GNAC Championships

FOR THE WEEK OF APRIL 18 - 24

	MEN'S TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK Ryan Farr, Saint Joseph's (Me.) (So., Gorham, Maine) - Farr won the 400-meter dash (51.61) and 200-meter dash (23.31) and kicked off the Monks' winning 4x400-meter relay (3:37.87) at Regis College on Saturday.
	WOMEN'S TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK Samantha VanDeMoere (Sr., Thornton, N.H.) - VanDeMoere broke the Monks' 800-meter record with a second-place time of 2:25.58 and kicked off the team's winning 4x400-meter relay (4:51.43) while placing sixth in the long jump (3.93m) and 12th in the javelin throw (19.69m) at Regis College on Saturday.
	MEN'S FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK Brett Kiesel (Jr., Rocky Hill, Conn.) - Kiesel improved upon his own school record mark in the javelin throw, finishing in second place at 47.82 meters (156' 11"). He also won the discus throw by over two meters with a top mark of 34.62 meters (113' 7"). Both marks were season-high efforts and place him second on the GNAC performance list in both events.
	WOMEN'S FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK Caileigh Blackmer, Emmanuel (Sr., Warwick, R.I.) - Blackmer posted a new Emmanuel record in the hammer throw, winning the event at the Regis Pre-Championship meet with a toss of 41.64 meters, besting the rest of the field by more than five meters.
	MEN'S ROOKIE OF THE WEEK Brady Mackechnie, Lasell (Fr., East Longmeadow, Mass.) - During the pre-conference meet at Regis Saturday, Mackechnie placed first in the 110-meter hurdles (17.11) and first in the 400-meter hurdles (60.34). He also set a school record and finished first with his team in the 4x100-meter relay (44.72).
	WOMEN'S ROOKIE OF THE WEEK A.J. Godios, Emmanuel (Fr., Hamburg, N.Y.) - Godios posted two NCAA D-III New England qualifying performances at the Regis College Pre-Championship meet with a win in the 400m race, breaking the one-minute barrier with a time of 59.96 seconds. Godios also won the 100m dash with a time of 13.09 seconds. In addition to these events, the first-year took home second place in the triple jump with a leap of 9.86 meters.

GNAC WEEKLY HONOR ROLL

Ashtyn Abbott, Saint Joseph's (Me.) (Jr., Farmingdale, Maine) - Abbott won the high jump (1.88m) and triple jump (12.06m) events and placed second in the long jump (5.91m) at Regis College on Saturday.

Kadeem Ambroise, Lasell (So., Brookline, Mass.) - During the pre-conference meet at Regis Saturday, Ambroise placed second in the 100 meters (12.11) and second in the 200 meters (24.29). He also finished first and set a school record with his team in the 4x100-meter relay (44.72).

Aiden Charles, Regis (Fr., Lowell, Mass.) - Saturday, Charles won the hammer throw with a mark of 28.51 meters (93' 6"), improving upon his personal best mark by almost seven meters. He also finished third in the 110 meter hurdles in 18.13 seconds and sixth in the discus throw with a mark of 25.50 meters (83' 8"). Charles ran the third leg of the 4x100 meter relay that finished a close second in 44.90 seconds.

Dylan Dickey, Saint Joseph's (Me.) (Fr., Laconia, N.H.) - Dickey won the javelin throw with a 52.20m mark and placed third in his discus debut with a 29.41m effort at Regis College on Saturday.

Brooklyn Goff, Saint Joseph's (Me.) (So., Biddeford, Maine) - Goff placed first in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 1:12.57 and second in the 100 meter hurdles (17.25) and high jump (1.42m) events at Regis College on Saturday.

Connor Parker, Lasell (So., Rutland, Vt.) - During the pre-conference meet at Regis Saturday, Parker set a personal record in the discus (27.39), placed third in the hammer throw (25.85) and finished fourth with a season-best mark of 9.39 meters in the shot put.

Nicholas Pastore, Regis (Sr., Brockton, Mass.) - At the Regis Pre-Conference Meet, Pastore won the 100 meter dash in 12.00 seconds and anchored the 4x100 meter relay to a close second place finish in an overall time of 44.90 seconds. Pastore also set the school record in the long jump at 6.16 meters (20' 2.5"), winning the event Saturday.

Sam Perkins, Regis (So., Whitman, Mass.) - Perkins qualified for the New England Division III Championships in the javelin throw during the Regis Pre-Conference Meet Saturday. She posted a mark of 34.65 meters (113' 8") to qualify for the championship meet as well as win the event by over eight meters Saturday. She remains atop the GNAC performance list in the javelin throw.
