PLAYER OF THE WEEK Chantelle Bouchard, Saint Joseph's (Maine) (Jr., C/OF) Junior Chantelle Bouchard connected her bat to the softball at an exceptional level this past week as the Biddeford, Maine native connected successfully on 16 of her 21 attempts, averaging a .762% average. She collected three hits in all but one game in the Monks' undefeated week as Bouchard collected five doubles, a homer, and nine RBI across six contests. Her week was highlighted by a perfect 3-for-3 performance in which the Junior hit for nothing but extra bases as she collected two doubles and a homer in their game two doubleheader over Anna Maria. |

PITCHER OF THE WEEK Katie Scheid, Johnson & Wales (Sr., P) Senior Katie Scheid went 3-0 with a 1.11 earned run average in three starts for JWU last week. The Hightstown, N.J. native struck out 12 betters in 19 innings of work, highlighted by a complete-game win over first-place Albertus Magnus on Saturday, during which time she scattered eight hits and allowed one run while striking out seven. |

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Morgan Pelletier, Johnson & Wales (Fr., UT) First-year Morgan Pelletier batted .667 and drove in four runs for them Wildcats last week. The Meridien, Conn. native went 2-of-3 with three RBI in a win over Elms on Wednesday, then smacked a two-run double against Framingham State the following afternoon. On the season, Pelletier owns a .321 average with five home runs and 24 RBI. |
WEEKLY HONOR ROLL
Lauryn Meade, Anna Maria - Made four appearances (1-2) with a save for the Amcats. Struck out 24 across 23 innings of work.
Taylor Chelak, Emmanuel - Went 9-for-13 in four GNAC victories on the week, averaging .692 with a triple, homer, and six RBI.
Lauren Peers, Emmanuel - Pitched to two victories for the Saints with six strikeouts and a 0.64 era.
Caroline Amorelli, Johnson & Wales - Batted .421 with two doubles, one home run and seven RBI as the Wildcats went 5-1 last week. After collecting four hits and three RBI against the Blazers on Wednesday and two more RBI against Framingham State the following afternoon, she belted a two-run home run against first-place Albertus Magnus on Saturday. Amorelli also scored five runs.
Katie Hopkins, Lasell - Went 8-for-15 on a .533% batting average, including two triples in a win over Salem State for the Lasers.
Christina Housley, Mitchell - Had a strong week at the plate for the Mitchell softball team, slashing .462/.429/.615 across four GNAC games. Housley went 6-13 with two doubles, eight RBI, and two runs scored. She collected at least one hit in all four games she played in, including multi-hit performances in two of them. The senior had a big game on Friday in a win against Regis, finishing 2-3 with a double and four RBI.
Grace Giesler, New England College - Had a dominant week at the plate for the Pilgrims, hitting .632 with 12 hits and three extra-base hits. The junior shortstop was at her best during NEC's 8-6 come-from-behind win over Simmons on Saturday, posting three runs batted in off of three hits.
Madison DeCota, Norwich - In her lone start of the week against Dean, she was sensational, earning the win after a complete game performance, only allowing two runs while striking out 11.
Hannah Muchemore, Rivier - Slashed .571/.583/.952 in a 4-0 (2-0 GNAC) week with 12 hits, three doubles, a home run and eight runs batted in, scoring six times. Also walked twice with just one strikeout. Against conference competition, Muchemore went 11-for-14 (.786) and slugged over 1.000. In the field, Muchemore posted a 1.000 fielding percentage playing at third base, with four putouts and seven assists on 11 total chances, helping turn a pair of double plays.
Raya Anderson, Simmons - Posted .667 batting average (4-6) with a 1.334 OPS (.667 SLG%, .667 OBP) and a pair of runs scored from the top of the Sharks lineup. In an 8-2 win over New England College in her home state of New Hampshire, Anderson went 2-for-3 with a run scored, while registering three putouts in centerfielder. In a midweek non-conference contest against WPI, Anderson registered a stolen base against the Engineers and is one stolen base shy of tying the program record.
