Great Northeast Athletic Conference Softball Report - Week 3

Player of the Week
Ashley Gall (Stafford Springs, Conn.), Junior, Third Baseman, University of Saint Joseph (Conn.)
The Junior batted .444 (8-for-18) with two doubles, a home run, eight runs scored, and nine RBI in six games for the week. She slugged .722 and made 20 plays at third base without an error. Gall had two doubles, two RBI and three runs scored in Sunday's 7-4 victory over pre-season GNAC favorite St. Joseph's (Maine). 

Pitcher of the Week
Kayla Vannah (Waldoboro, Maine), Senior, Pitcher, Saint Joseph's College (Maine)
Vannah registered a pair of complete-game victories over the weekend. In starts versus Albertus Magnus and University of Saint Joseph, Vannah compiled a 1.50 ERA with eight strikeouts and no walks over 14 frames. The senior captain allowed one earned run off seven hits with four K's in a 6-2 win over the Falcons on Saturday and earned the win after yielding two runs off six hits with four strikeouts in a 7-2 triumph over the Blue Jays on Sunday.

Rookie of the Week
Nicole LeBlanc (Easton, Mass.), Freshman, Catcher, Lasell College
The rookie played in 10 games on the week, helping Lasell earn three victories in their spring trip to South Carolina. The freshmen hit an impressive .516 on the week, while also collecting nine runs and nine RBI's with two home runs and two doubles for the Lasers.
