Great Northeast Athletic Conference Softball Report - Week 1

Player of the Week
Lindsay Moore (Barrington, N.H.), Junior, Shortstop, Saint Joseph's College (ME)
Moore went 3-3 with three runs, a double, a triple, a stolen base and three RBI in a 7-0 triumph over Drew University on Sunday. The junior also added an RBI in a 7-1 win over MCLA, and maintained a .571 OBP for the week.

Pitcher of the Week
Rae-Marie Copan (Newton, Mass.), Junior, Pitcher, Saint Joseph's College (ME)
Copan was perfect through five innings and wound up tossing a one-hitter in a 7-0 win over Drew University on Sunday. The crafty junior struck out eight and allowed just one base-runner in the complete game shutout victory.

Rookie of the Week
Catherine Davis (Wethersfield, Conn.), Freshman, Shortstop, Emmanuel College
Davis opened her collegiate career with a monster day, going 4-6 with three RBI and three runs scored for Emmanuel College in Myrtle Beach, S.C. in the opening day of action at the Fastpitch Dreams Spring Classic. The rookie helped the Saints capture their first victory of the year, a 10-5 win over Wesley, going 3-3 with a walk and coming just a single shy of the cycle. Davis also notched a pair of stolen bases while posting a .900 fielding percentage at shortstop for EC.
