Emerson Claims NFCA All-Academic Team Ranking Crown for Third Time in Program History

BOSTON, Mass. - For the third time in five years, the 2012 Emerson Softball team accumulated the highest team GPA in Division III to claim the NFCA All-Academic Team Award.
 
The program also won the esteemed award in 2007 and 2009, both of which years it also laid claim to a GNAC championship and an NCAA Tournament appearance.
 
The 2012 team posted a 3.59 cumulative GPA, tying it for first in the nation with Fontbonne University and topping powerhouses such as MIT en route to the award.
 
The 2013 Emerson Softball team will look to repeat this success on the field and in the classroom starting this March.
