Courtney Wallace (Pine Manor), Katie Bachinski (Rivier), and Monica White (Rivier) have earned Great Northeast Athletic Conference’s Softball Weekly Honors.

Wallace homered in 3 of 4 games last week, including hitting homeruns in both games of a doubleheader against Mount Ida on March 31. In addition to her seventh-inning home run in a tie game against Simmons, the three-time All-GNAC First Team catcher secured the final outs of the sixth and seven innings on collisions at home plate in the nightcap against the Sharks. That was postponed in the 8th inning, with game tied 5-5, because of darkness. Pine Manor lost to Mount Ida 4-1 in the first game, but defeated the Mustangs, 5-3 in the second game, giving the Gators their first win of the season. Pine Manor was defeated by Simmons, 5-1, in the day game on April 2, with the second game to be decided. Wallace leads the Gators in batting average (.432), RBIs (14), doubles (5), homeruns (3), total bases (37), slugging percentage (.841), fielding percentage (1.000), stolen bases against (18), steal attempts against (19), and passed balls (9). Pine Manor is currently in 12th place in the GNAC, with a conference record of 1-6 and an overall record of 1-15. The Gators next game is against Emerson on April 6.

In a sweeps of Lasell and St. Joseph (CT), Bachinski hit 2 homeruns, 2 doubles, a triple and added 6 RBIs. The Raiders defeated Lasell, 6-2 and 3-2, on April 2, and St. Joseph (CT), 1-0, 8-0, on April 3. Bachinski currently leads the Raiders in slugging percentage (.705), runs scored (23), doubles (8), homeruns (5), total bases (53), stolen bases (10), steal attempts (11), total plate appearances (65), and is tied for the lead in triples (2). This is the second time this season that Bachinski has earned GNAC Rookie of the Week honors. She was previously honored back on March 15. Rivier is currently tied for 1st place in the GNAC, with a conference record of 12-0 and an overall record of 18-1. The Raiders next face Mount Ida in doubleheader action on April 9

In conference sweeps of Lasell and St. Joseph (CT), White was simply untouchable. She stuck out 28 batters in just 18 innings, with opponents hitting .095 against her. Rivier defeated Lasell, 6-2 and 3-2 on April 2, and St. Joseph (CT), 1-0 and 8-0, on April 3. White currently leads her team in opposing batting average (.118), wins (13), innings pitched (86.0), batters struck out (144), appearances (16), games started (9), games finished (7), games in relief (7), batters struck out looking (23), sacrifice bunts allowed (7), and is tied for the lead in triples (2) and won-loss percentage (1.000). This is the third time this season that White has earned GNAC Pitcher of the Week honors. She was previously honored on March 15 and March 22. Rivier is currently tied for 1st place in the GNAC, with a conference record of 12-0 and an overall record of 18-1. The Raiders next face Mount Ida in doubleheader action on April 9.
