Offensive Player Of The Week
Trey Guest, Emmanuel (Sr.)
Senior Trey Guest totaled 46 kills, averaging 5.11 kills per set on a .267% attack percentage for the Saints while collecting 1.89 digs per set (17 total). Guest had 21 kills against #22 nationally-ranked Endicott before totaling 14 in a sweep over American International College. The senior ended the week with 11 kills against no. 8 NYU as Guest leads not only the GNAC in kills per set (4.83) and points per set (5.56) but also leads the nation in both categories.
Defensive Player/Rookie Of The Week
Chris Bousquet, Elms (Fr.)
Freshman Chris Bousquet anchored the back row in three matches, totaling 32 digs (2.91 per set) while handling 70 receptions at a .929 clip. He recorded 17 digs in a win over Wheaton before collecting seven against Hunter and eight against No. 1 nationally-ranked Springfield College. Bousquet leads the nation in digs per set and total digs with 3.99 per set and 279 total.
Setter Of The Week
Tye Barrett, Emmanuel (Fr.)
Freshman Tye Barrett dished out 78 assists (9.75 per set) over three matches, including 30 in a sweep victory at American International College with four total blocks. Barrett added 23 against #22 Endicott and 25 against #8 NYU as the freshman is second in the league in assists per set at 8.35 and fourth in total assists at 401.
WEEKLY HONOR ROLL
Rafa Artero, Elms - Artero had 10 total blocks on the week for the Blazers, including seven against Hunter.
Nick Uschmann, Elms - Uschmann totaled 30 kills on .324% with 13 digs and eight total blocks for the Blazers. He put up 15 kills and six blocks in a win over Wheaton and followed with 13 kills and three blocks against Hunter.
Cole Esterline, Lasell - Esterline had 10 kills in a 2-0 week for the Lasers on a .643% attack percentage. He also had three total blocks.
Adam Bonica, Regis - In a loss to Endicott, Adam Bonica had 16 kills (5.33 k/s) at a .309 clip. He also added three digs and two blocks in the end totaling 17 points on the night (5.7 pt/s).
