OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK Theo Zaharewicz, Lasell (Sr., OH) Senior Outside Hitter Theo Zaharewicz started his senior campaign strong at the net for No. 19 nationally-ranked Lasell University as the Bethany, Conn. native produced 4.04 kills per set on an efficient .432 attack percentage to lead the Lasers to a 6-1 start in the opening weeks of Jan. 11-Jan.19. Zaharewicz notched 101 total kills across seven matches including 13 (twice) and 19 over three nationally-ranked opponents in Nazareth (no. 17), Misericordia (no. 14), and Hobart (no. 10). This past weekend, he put up 16 kills over receiving votes (RV) Rutgers-Newark, 12 kills against Drew, and 17 against Arcadia. The senior also collected 29 digs and 11 blocks on the defensive side of the ball for the Lasers. |

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK Louis Da Silva, Emmanuel (Sr., MB) Senior Middle Blocker Louis Da Silva averaged 1.30 blocks per set over three matches, totaling 13 blocks on the week and collecting 18 kills for the Saints in a 2-1 week. The Marseille, France native started his senior campaign off with seven kills and five blocks (one solo) in a sweep over Sarah Lawrence. Then, Da Silva put up six kills and three blocks in another sweep over American International College before collecting five kills and five blocks in a setback to No. 20 nationally-ranked MIT. |

SETTER OF THE WEEK Trystan Maloney, Lasell (Fr., S) First-year Setter Trystan Maloney was the catalyst to an explosive start for the Lasell offense as he contributed to five of their six wins, dating back from Jan. 11. The Colorado Springs, Colo. native put up 185 assists in 20 sets (9.25 a/s), reaching 30+ assists in five of the six matches. He started his freshman campaign strong with 34, 35, and 33 assists on matches played from Jan. 11- Jan. 12. Maloney followed up this past weekend with 32, 20, and 31 assists in wins over Rutgers-Newark, Drew, and Arcadia. He also collected 26 digs across these six matches for the Lasers as well. |

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK Benjamin Walinjom, Lasell (Fr., Op.) First-year opposite Benjamin Walinjom was a solid producer on both sides of the net in four matches for the Lasers, registering 30 kills and nine total blocks on the week. The North, Quincy, Mass. native collected six kills and two total blocks against Sage to start his freshman season. Walinjom competed at the Battle 4 the Boardwalk tournament and put up nine kills with five total blocks over RV Rutgers-Newark, eight kills over Drew, and nine kills with two total blocks over Arcadia. |
WEEKLY HONOR ROLL
Michael Shelley, Emmanuel - Averaged four kills per set (28 total) while hitting .250 from the floor. Had 16 kills in win over AIC and 12 in set back at MIT. Added three service aces and five block assists in a 1-1 weekend for Emmanuel.
Ryan Mesnik, Lasell - Collected 45 digs (1.80 d/s) across 25 sets along with 17 assists, helping the Lasers go 6-1 with games dating back to Jan. 11.
Jay Bodhidatta, Regis - Collected 36 digs (4.50 d/s) in eight sets. Had 18 digs in five set win over Elms and 18 in setback to SUNY Poly.
Justin Barish, Rivier - Recorded 102 assists (8.50 a/s) over a 2-1 weekend at the Battle 4 the Boardwalk including 46 in a four-set win over Arcadia. Collected a double-double (23 assists, 10 digs) in a setback to Rutgers-Newark, who is receiving votes into the AVCA DIII Poll. Added 16 digs, eight kills at a .278 percentage, five service aces, and three block assists on the week.
Matthew McCloskey, Rivier - Hit for .417 over three matches with 26 kills (2.17 per set) at the Battle 4 the Boardwalk in a 2-1 weekend. Had eight kills against Rutgers-Newark and in win against Drew before connecting on 10 with a .769 attack percentage in victory over Arcadia.
