GNAC Men's Volleyball Report: Week 5
Rivier's Francis Kokoros and Cam Roth garnered Offensive and Defensive weekly accolades after three GNAC victories from the Raiders.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK Francis Kokoros, Rivier (Sr, MH - Braintree, Mass.) Kokoros led Rivier to a 3-0 GNAC week, as the senior middle hitter averaged 3.20 kills per set while hitting at an impressive .519 clip. Kokoros bookended his week with a 14-kill (.500) performance in a 3-1 win over Emmanuel and a 10-kill (.474) effort in a 3-0 win over Lasell. He also chipped in defensively with eight blocks for 0.80 blocks per set. |

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK Cam Roth, Rivier (Sr, OH - Coventry, RI) Roth was solid defensively for the Raiders, scooping up 25 digs in just eight sets played for a 3.13 digs per set average. The senior libero helped lead Rivier to three GNAC wins and highlighted his week with an 11-dig performance in a 3-0 win over Lasell. |

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK Jesus Garcia, Lasell (Fr., S - Honolulu, Hawaii) Garcia totaled 101 assists in the Lasers three matches this past week, averaging 10.10 assists, 1.30 digs and 0.60 blocks per set as the Lasers went 2-1. Garcia also finished with 13 total digs and six total blocks. In Lasell's upset over Elms, Garcia racked up 47 assists in the four-set victory. |
WEEK 5 HONOR ROLL
Seamus McDonagh, Emmanuel (Mass.) (Sr, S - Long Beach, N.Y.) - McDonagh became the third player in Emmanuel program history to reach the 3,000-assist milestone this week while enjoying a solid performance all around. The senior recorded 21 kill (2.10 kills per set), while averaging 2.60 digs and 4.80 assists over three matches. The New York native added six total blocks and once ace for the Saints.
Jack Pincince, Johnson & Wales (RI) (So., OH - South Kingstown, RI) - Averaged 3.00 kills per set and hit .273 in a 1-1 week ... Had nine kills and three blocks against #1 Springfield.
Cobi Moore, Lasell (Jr., L - Danville, N.H.) - Moore finished the three-game span with 35 digs while averaging 3.50 digs/set. He totaled 18 digs in the Lasers 3-1 upset over Elms College.
Inelson Alves, Regis (Mass.) (Jr., OH/RS - Brockton, Mass.) - Alves led Regis offensively and also contributed defensively during the past week. Against Johnson & Wales, he finished with seven kills, three service aces, and six digs. In Regis' victory over Dean, Alves earned 10 kills, one assist, four service aces, seven digs, and a solo block. Alves finished the week with seven kills in each contest of Sunday's tri-match, plus he collected four digs against Rivier. Alves currently leads the Pride with 65 kills and 12 service aces.
Hunter Oshman, Wentworth (Fr., OH - Pennington, N.J.) - Efficiently hit to a 1-0 week for Wentworth. Hit a career-high .750 in a sweep at Eastern Nazarene with 10 kills and just one error on 12 swings.
