Monks Complete The Three-Peat; Claims 2025 GNAC Outdoor Track and Field Championship
STANDISH, Maine - Saint Joseph's (Maine) scored 316 points across two days at the 2025 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Outdoor Track and Field Championship as the host Monks three-peated to claim this year's championship once again on the Men's side.
SJC was dominant in every track event as the Monks clean sweeped all of those events, claiming first in every event. Abdirizak Abukar claimed first in the 100m (11.17s) and 200m (22.43s) while Tyler Ricker won the 400m (52.03s) and John McManus won the 800m at 2:07.81. Haytham Ramadan won the 1500m (4:25.43) and Ryan Graham took first in two events (5k - 16:41.32, 10k - 35:59.87). Tudum Monday also collected two first place finishes in the 110 hurdles (15.86s) and 400 hurdles (56.76s) while Alexey Seredin won the 3k steeplechase (10:52.26). The Monks also won three relays (4x100: John Read, Matthew Corriveau, Noah Batoosingh, Abukar), (4x400: Abukar, Isaac Keresey, Ricker, Jacob Schmader), and the 4x800 (McManus, Aidan Mills, Schmader, Keresey). Keresey won the pole vault (3.66m) while Dylan Dickey won two first-place finishes in the Discus Throw (40.05m) and the Javelin Throw (60.14m).
Regis finished as the runner-up with 118 points as Justin Thuotte finished first in the Long Jump (6.65m), Ryan Sweeney in the Shot Put (12.44m), and Aiden Charles won the Hammer Throw (40.74m).
Emmanuel finished in third with 100 points as Pierre Paul Labossiere collected two gold medals in the High Jump (1.85m) and the Triple Jump (13.64m).
Colby-Sawyer finished with 57 points and Lasell finished with 48 points in that order.
All the individual champions, along with the other two medalists in each event (teams in relays) were named to the GNAC All-Conference Team as the major award winners will be voted on by the league's head coaches and announced at a later time to be determined.
