Track Athlete Of The Week
Issac Keresey, Saint Joseph's (Maine) (So.)
Sophomore Isaac Keresey put together a strong weekend at BU, running 1:57.14 in the 800 meters and circled back with a 4:29.06 in the mile against a loaded field. Keresey now ranks second in the GNAC in the 800 and first in the GNAC in the mile.
Field Athlete/Rookie Of The Week
Stephen Pierre, Saint Joseph's (Maine) (Fr.)
Freshman Stephen Pierre headlined the field events at USM with his school-record 6.92m long jump, which currently stands 7th in New England Division III and first in the GNAC. He added a 1.85m clearance in the high jump (tied for second in the GNAC standings) and contributed a runner-up finish in the 55-meter hurdles, where he also leads the conference.
WEEKLY HONOR ROLL
Joseph Pasco, Colby-Sawyer - Pasco got a new personal best in the pole vault (top in GNAC list) this weekend at a very competitive Harvard meet. Joe would finish ninth overall (4.30m), just missing top eight, and finishing just behind or tied with athletes from Northeastern, Brown, and Tufts.
Evan Vitagliano, Colby-Sawyer - Vitagliano had a personal best day at a very competitive Harvard meet where he would get a new best in the 800m with a 2:04. This will keep him in the top of the GNAC performance list while giving him a top 30 placement against schools across all divisions.
Nathan Morgan, Emmanuel - Morgan finished fifth in the 400 meters at the RCC Open at 52.01, which placed him third in the GNAC performance list.
Colin Roderick, Lasell - Roderick finished runner-up in the 400 meters at the RCC Open with a personal-best (53.09), fifth in the performance list. He finished second at the Mary Grinaker Invitational in the 60H with PB of 9.27 seconds (fourth in performance list) and also anchored 4x400m Relay to a win at the Mary Grinaker Invite.
