Lasell's Brady Mackechnie and Colby-Sawyer's Ashley Keleher took home GNAC Week 2 honors on the track.

MEN'S TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK Brady Mackechnie, Lasell (So., East Longmeadow, Mass.) - Broke his previous school record in the 60m Hurdles event. He ran the two fastest times in school history on Saturday, with his 8.75s time in the prelims setting the new school record, and his 8.87s time in the finals also being better than the school record of 8.97s that he set last week. That time in the finals was good enough to place him in 7th at the meet. Mackechnie also put up a mark of 6.10m in the Long Jump, placing him in 9th |

WOMEN'S TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK Ashley Keleher, Colby-Sawyer (Jr., Mashpee, Mass.) - Keleher started the new year by breaking the 60-meter dash record which she set last season at the Wheaton Pre-Post Season Meet on February 19th. She finished the race in third place with a time of 8.29 which was 0.12 seconds faster than her previous record. Keleher continued to race her way to another record-breaking performance after securing first place in the 200-meter dash with a time of 27.96. Kate LaPorte held the 200-meter record since 2015 after finishing the race in 28.46 at the UMass Boston Meet. |

MEN'S FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK Drew Doughty, Colby-Sawyer (So., Bedford, N.H.) - Doughty secured first place in the pole vault event at Plymouth State University with a mark of 3.85 meters. |

WOMEN'S FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK Sinclair Samuels, Lasell (Jr.) - She set two school records. The first record was in the Shotput, where Samuels posted a mark of 10.99m, besting the previous record of 10.88m. Her performance was good for 7th. She also set the record for Weight Throw, posting a mark of 9.45m. The previous record was 9.34m. Both records had stood for nearly nine years, as Chelsea Zeig had held each of them since early 2014 |

Aaliyah Wilson-Falcone, Saint Joseph's (Maine) (Jr., Winthrop, Maine) - Wilson-Falcone won the Triple Jump - and shattered the Monks? record - with a 10.68m effort, was fourth in the 55-Meter hurdles (9.66), and placed sixth in the Shot Put (9.79m) in her collegiate track & field debut at the University of Southern Maine on Saturday. She qualified for New England's in the Triple Jump. |
