Swimmer Of The Week
Drew Bylow, Norwich (So.)
Sophomore Drew Bylow delivered another dominant showing for Norwich in the win over Eastern Connecticut State, sweeping all three of his individual events. Bylow took first in the 200-yard freestyle (1:51.82), the 100-yard backstroke (55.44), and the 50-yard butterfly (24.52), while also helping Norwich to a second-place finish in the 200-yard medley relay. His all-around performance showcased his versatility as the Cadets wrapped up their regular season at 6-1.
Diver Of The Week
Michael Zammuto, Regis (Sr.)
Senior Michael Zammuto was active on the boards throughout the weekend, opening with a personal best on Senior Night in the one-meter, 11-dive program with a score of 324.65. He followed that performance with another personal best in the three-meter, six-dive event at Simmons University, capturing first place with a score of 180.85 and helping the Pride to a 76–22 victory over Elms.
Rookie Of The Week
Kyle Januszewski, University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) (Fr.)
Freshman Kyle Januszewski delivered another strong performance this past Saturday at Gordon, earning second-place finishes in the 50-yard backstroke (28.24), 100-yard freestyle (53.72), and 50-yard butterfly (26.05). He also contributed to the team’s second-place finish in the 400-yard medley relay (3:53.18).
WEEKLY HONOR ROLL
Jose Avila, Elms - Avila took first in the 50-Yard Freestyle (25.39) and the 50-Yard Butterfly (30.04). He also finished second in the 100 Yard Freestyle (55.55).
Kristian Adlianitski, Norwich - Adlianitski powered Norwich to a 150-112 dual-meet win at Eastern Connecticut State University with a trio of individual victories in sprint and breaststroke events. The junior captured the 50-yard freestyle in 22.00, the 100-yard freestyle in 49.11, and the 50-yard breaststroke in 26.67, winning each by wide margins. He also contributed to Norwich's runner-up finish in the 200-yard medley relay, swimming the second leg to help lead the team to a 1:41.05 time.
John Connor Hallstrom, Norwich - Hallstrom anchored Norwich’s distance efforts with a sweep of the 1000-yard (10:09.54) and 500-yard (5:00.09) freestyle events. He also swam the third leg of the second-place 200-yard freestyle relay squad. Hallstrom’s two wins gave Norwich a major lift in distance scoring as the Cadets cruised past Eastern Connecticut State to close the dual-meet slate.
Ryan Kim, Regis - Kim turned in a personal-best performance in the 100 breaststroke, touching in 1:02.56, and also posted a season-best 58.24 in the 100 individual medley. He followed that up by helping his team to a 76-72 victory over Elms with another season-best time of 54.54 to claim first place in the 100 freestyle.
Aiden Hebb, University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) - Hebb turned in another impressive performance in the pool this past weekend, capturing wins in the 200-yard freestyle and 200-yard breaststroke. He also helped his team secure a second-place finish in the 400-yard medley relay.
