SWIMMER OF THE WEEK Will Thompson, Norwich (Sr.) Senior Will Thompson steamrolled the competition in Norwich's Saturday victory over Maine Maritime, tallying three individual wins and a first-place relay victory. He opened the day swimming the second leg of the 400 medley relay that finished first overall in 3:45.21. He followed that up in nearly back-to-back efforts, first swimming a 1:02.28 in the 100 breaststroke before posting a 23.40 time in the 50 freestyle to earn first in both events. He closed his day by earning another first-place finish, this time in the 200 breaststroke with a 2:22.49. |

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK Drew Bylow, Norwich (Fr.) First-year Drew Bylow was dominant in Norwich's victory over Maine Maritime Academy on Saturday afternoon (Nov. 9), racking up three individual events while also participating on a first-place relay team. He first swam the closing leg of the 400 medley relay team that logged a 3:45.21 to finish first and give the Cadets their first win of the day. He followed that up a few events later with his first individual win in the 100 backstroke (54.76), before returning later on in the 200 backstroke and taking first on a 2:01.90 time. Bylow closed his day with his final first-place tally in the 200 IM (2:07.97 time), aiding the Cadets to 13 total victories out of 16 events. |
WEEKLY HONOR ROLL
Kristian Adlianitski, Norwich - Recorded three individual wins and capping off the day with a first-place relay finish. Adlianitski earned the Cadets their third win of the day, posting a 1:48.39 effort in the 200 freestyle before swimming a 48.67 in the 100 freestyle to finish first. He then logged a strong 5:05.11 time in the 500 freestyle to claim his third individual win of the day. Adlianitski closed his day by swimming the fourth and final leg of the 400 freestyle relay team that logged a first-place position on a 3:23.56 effort.
Aiden Hebb, University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) - Paced the Blue Jays at the Friday Night Sprints, hosted by CCSU. Competing against Division II Southern Connecticut State University, Hebb finished second in the 200 yard free (1:55.35). He also finished third in the 100 IM, posting a time of 58 seconds even.
