Player and Rookie Of The Week
Lucas Silvia, Emmanuel (Mass.) (Fr.)
Freshman Lucas Silvia had a breakout week, earning both Player and Rookie of the Week honors after leading the Saints to a pair of GNAC victories. The first-year forward tallied two goals and an assist for five total points, showcasing poise and precision in front of goal. He opened the week with a goal and an assist in a 5-0 win over Lasell, then followed it up with the game-winning strike in a hard-fought 2-1 road victory at Albertus Magnus. Efficient and impactful, Silvia converted two of his three shots on target, playing a crucial role in Emmanuel’s conference victories.
Goalkeeper Of The Week
Matt Guzman, New England College (Jr.)
Junior Matt Guzman earned Goalkeeper of the Week honors after an outstanding stretch between the posts, totaling 20 saves across two conference matches. The junior keeper was stellar in a narrow 1-0 loss at Saint Joseph’s (Me.), posting 13 saves to keep the Saints within reach, then followed up with seven more stops in a key 3-2 victory over Elms. Guzman finished the week with a .870 save percentage and a 1.50 goals-against average, anchoring the NEC defense and continuing to establish himself as one of the GNAC’s most reliable shot-stoppers.
WEEKLY HONOR ROLL
Aiden Coelho, Albertus Magnus- Coelho contributed consistently for the Cadets, scoring a goal in both games for a total of two points. He recorded seven shots on goal with a .571 shooting accuracy, helping his team secure a 4-0 win over Mitchell and competing in a close 2-1 loss to Emmanuel (Mass.).
Colin Riley-Perec, Colby-Sawyer- Riley-Perec had a standout week for Colby-Sawyer, contributing five points over two games. He set up a goal in a tough 5-4 loss at Fitchburg State and then scored twice—including a stunning 40-meter strike—helping the Chargers secure a 3-0 conference win over Lasell.
Eddy Nyemah, New England College - Nyemah powered New England College to a 3-2 victory over Elms with a standout two-goal, five-point performance. Nyemah has been on a hot streak since earning his first career start, totaling four goals and two assists over the past three weeks.
Christian Grubic, Norwich - Grubic was the difference-maker for Norwich in their only game of the week, scoring the lone goal in a 1-0 victory over Saint Joseph's (Me.). The goal proved to be the game-winner, as he finished the match with a perfect shot and shot-on-goal percentage.
Kirk Rodgers, Norwich- Rodgers recording his fourth shutout of the season in a 1-0 conference victory over Saint Joseph’s (Me.). Rodgers made two key saves to preserve the clean sheet and continues to pace the GNAC in save percentage, goals against, and goals-against average, anchoring the Cadets’ defense in another strong performance.
Logan Clough, Rivier- Clough recorded his second shutout of the season in a 5-0 win over Mitchell, making two saves across 90 minutes of play to anchor a strong defensive effort.
Will Slayton, University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) - Slayton posted a shutout in the Blue Jays’ 1-0 win over Regis, making four saves to secure the clean sheet in the team’s lone game of the week.
