Player Of The Week
Jake Marcotte, Norwich (So.)
Sophomore Jake Marcotte led Norwich to a 2-0 week with 12 points on seven goals and five assists, helping secure a GNAC Semifinals spot. He recorded two goals and three assists in a 19–1 win over Colby-Sawyer, reaching the 100-point mark for his career, then followed with five goals and two assists in a 19–5 quarterfinal win over Emmanuel.
Goalkeeper Of The Week
Jake Dernier, Saint Joseph's (Maine) (So.)
Sophomore Jake Dernier was outstanding in a 2-0 week, totaling 27 saves with a 69.2% save percentage and a 5.82 goals-against average. He made eight saves in a 9–6 win over New England College, then delivered a career performance with 19 saves in a 7–6 OT upset over #3 Lasell in the GNAC Quarterfinal.
Rookie Of The Week
Conor Walsh, Rivier (Fr.)
Freshman Connor Walsh totaled six points on five goals and an assist, including a man-up goal, in a 15–4 quarterfinal win over Regis. He also added two caused turnovers while shooting 71.4% with an 85.7% shot-on-goal percentage.
WEEKLY HONOR ROLL
Cole Cloney, Emmanuel - Cloney totaled 14 points (nine goals, five assists) in a 1-1 week for the Saints, including 11 in the regular season finale to clinch the four seed for Emmanuel on seven goals and four points.
Dominick Ciarelli, Lasell - Ciarelli totaled 10 saves in playoff setback against Saint Joseph's (Maine) on 58.8%.
Nate Finn, New England College - Finn, in one game this week for the Pilgrims, made 13 saves while keeping a steady Saint Joseph's offense under ten goals. His 13 saves was his most in a game since early April. In addition, he caused two turnovers and scooped up five ground balls.
Mason Dils, Norwich - Dils helped anchor a 2-0 week for Norwich, highlighted by a standout postseason performance in the Cadets’ 19-5 GNAC Quarterfinal win over Emmanuel. Dils played 75 total minutes across the two games, allowing just five goals while posting a 4.00 goals-against average and a .722 save percentage. After starting the regular-season finale against Colby-Sawyer and holding the Chargers scoreless in his 15 minutes of action, he was outstanding on Saturday against Emmanuel, making 13 saves over a full 60 minutes while limiting the Saints to just five goals in one of Norwich’s most complete efforts of the season. Dils’ play in cage was instrumental in sending the Cadets through to the GNAC Semifinals.
Christian Rainis, Norwich - Rainis turned in a high-impact two-game stretch for Norwich, totaling eight points on seven goals and one assist while helping the Cadets go 2-0 and advance to the GNAC Semifinals. Rainis scored twice in a 19-1 win over Colby-Sawyer to close the regular season, then exploded for six points in Saturday’s 19-5 GNAC Quarterfinal victory at Emmanuel with five goals and one assist. He also made his presence felt on the defensive end, finishing the week with four caused turnovers, all of which came in the postseason win over the Saints. Rainis shot 58.3 percent for the week and was one of the central two-way forces in Norwich’s statement postseason performance.
Jake Lydon, Rivier - Lydon made 11 saves with a 73.3 save percentage in the 15-4 win over Regis in the Quarterfinals.
Mason Schultz, Rivier - Schultz totaled seven points on six goals and three assists while adding four ground balls in the 15-4 Quarterfinal win over Regis.
Jake Dernier, Saint Joseph's (Maine) - Dernier almost singlehandedly kept the Monks in a pair of losses to two of the top teams in the conference last week with a stellar 64.7% save percentage and 22 saves in 90 minutes in goal. The sophomore allowed four goals and posted seven stops in the second half of a setback at the hands of Rivier on Wednesday and turned away a career-high 15 shots in a heartbreaking 8-7 loss at USJ on Saturday.
Dominic Oakes, University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) - Oakes paced the USJ offense during a perfect 2-0 week, tallying a team-high 13 points off two goals and 11 assists. He started the week by posting a two-goal and two-assist outing during the team's regular-season ending victory at Albertus Magnus and concluded the week by being a playmaking maestro, dishing out a career-high nine assists in USJ's GNAC Quarterfinal victory against Dean.
