Player Of The Week
Nick Fernandez, Dean (So.)
Sophomore Nick Fernandez totaled 13 points off of six goals and seven assists in a 2-0 week for the Bulldogs. Fernandez netted a hat trick and dished two helpers in a win over Colby-Sawyer before collecting another hat trick on the week and this time dishing five assists in a victory over New England College. The sophomore currently ranks second in the conference in assists (23) and fourth in points (52).
Goalkeeper Of The Week
Mason Dils, Norwich (Jr.)
Junior Mason Dils anchored the Norwich defense during a 1-1 week in GNAC action, totaling 26 saves across two starts while posting a 60.5 save percentage. The junior goalkeeper recorded 11 saves in a 10-7 victory over New England College. He followed with a standout 15-save performance against undefeated Rivier University, keeping the Cadets within striking distance throughout regulation and into overtime in an 11-10 battle. Dils added six ground balls on the week and continued to serve as a steady presence in goal against high-powered conference offenses.
Rookie Of The Week
Conor Walsh, Rivier (Fr.)
Freshman Conor Walsh totaled eight points on five goals and three assists, a 76.9 sog%, and one caused turnover in the 2-0 week for the Raiders. Walsh recorded two goals and two assists, adding two ground balls in the 28-1 win over Mitchell and added three goals (including the overtime game winner) and an assist, along with a caused turnover and a ground ball in the 11-10 victory over Norwich.
WEEKLY HONOR ROLL
David Macneil, Dean - Macneil picked up two victories in the cage for a 60% save percentage on the week for the Bulldogs.
Chase Greenlaw, Emmanuel - Greenlaw had six goals and five assists for 11 points on the week, highlighted by a nine point outing against Mitchell (four goals, five assists).
Jake Lynn, Emmanuel - Lynn collected eight saves in a home victory over Mitchell, only allowing one goal.
Jason Martin, Lasell - Martin totaled eight points (five goals, three assists) in a 21-2 road victory over Albertus Magnus.
Nate Finn, New England College - Finn made 43 saves across two games including a career-high 27 saves against Norwich on Wednesday. The conference leader in saves carried a 59.7 save percentage on the week for the Pilgrims.
Jake Marcotte, Norwich - Marcotte turned in an efficient and impactful week for Norwich, totaling eight points on six goals and two assists across a pair of GNAC contests. The sophomore attacker led the Cadets to a 10-7 road victory over New England College with four goals and an assist, helping Norwich build a commanding early advantage. He followed with a three-point effort against undefeated Rivier University, scoring twice and adding an assist in a tightly contested overtime matchup.
Nick Klein, Regis - Klein recorded 11 points on 8 goals and three assists in a 1-1 week for the Pride. He opened with four goals, two helpers, six ground balls, and three caused turnovers in a win over Mitchell before another four goal outing where he produced one helper against SJME, where he surpassed the 100th career goal mark in his career.
Joseph Kiedaisch, Saint Joseph's (Maine) - Kiedaisch tallied four goals and four assists in the Monks' 16-6 victory over Regis College on Saturday.
JD DeNicola-Rakvin, University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) - DeNicola-Rakvin paced the USJ offense during the teams 26-2 win against Colby-Sawyer, tallying six points off two goals and four assists.
