MLAX: Rivier To Host Rhodes In NCAA First Round
NASHUA, NH - The NCAA Division III Men's Lacrosse Tournament bracket has been announced and Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Champion Rivier University (18-0) will host Rhodes College (12-6), the Southern Athletic Association (SAA) champion, in a first-round contest on Wednesday, May 6 at 4:00 PM, at Joanne Merrill Field in Nashua, NH.
Led by Head Coach James DeLanoy, Rivier went undefeated at 12-0 in conference and earned the top seed in GNAC play, toppling #8 Regis, #5 Norwich and #6 Saint Joseph's College (Maine) to claim the program's second consecutive conference title.
Rhodes posted a 12-6 overall record, going 4-2 in conference as the Lynx were the three seed in the SAA tournament, defeating #2 Centre College and then besting #1 seed Sewanee in the championship game this past Saturday.
The winner of the Raiders/Lynx matchup will face pod-host and reigning NCAA Division III champion Tufts University on Saturday at 4:30 PM.
In total, 40 programs will participate in the 2026 NCAA DIII Men's Lacrosse Tournament, with 27 teams earning automatic qualification via conference titles and the remaining 13 teams claiming at-large bids. Competition will kick off on Wednesday, May 6 and continues through the championship on Sunday, May 24 at Scott Stadium in Charlottesville, VA.
