2025 GNAC Men's Lacrosse All-Conference Teams Announced
WINTHROP, Mass. – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) announced its 2025 Men’s Lacrosse All-Conference Teams and major award winners on Tuesday afternoon. Rivier had eight selections, the most of any school this year.
Voting was conducted by the league’s 13 men’s lacrosse head coaches following the regular season and did not take postseason play into account.
Rivier secured three major awards as Michael Ference was named the Offensive Player of the Year, Adam Hailey was named Defensive Player of the Year, and Sawyer Gagnon was recognized as the Goalkeeper of the Year. Lasell took home two major awards as newcomer Jack Condon earned Rookie of the Year and his head coach Dieter Treusdell was named Coach of the Year. Anna Maria's Nathan Powers won Faceoff Specialist of the Year while Mitchell earned the Institutional Sportsmanship award.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR Michael Ference, Rivier Michael Ference earned his second career Offensive Player of the Year honors as he was the league leader in total assists in the Conference this season with 52 and a league-leading 3.06 assists per game, both of which were good for top-15 nationally at the DIII level. The Salem, N.H. native had three or more assists in 10 of his 17 contests he played in, including a season-high seven in a conference win over New England College earlier this season. He also ranked fifth in the GNAC in total points with 81. Ference’s unselfish ability on the offense led his team to an undefeated mark in conference play at 9-0 (6-0 in division). The Graduate Student was named GNAC Player of the Week twice this past season. |

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR Adam Hailey, Rivier Adam Hailey led an elite Rivier defense that not allowed the fewest goals in the conference but nationally with 109. Their league-leading goals allowed per game average (6.41) was also second in the nation as well. Hailey’s defensive leadership gave the Raiders national recognition on that end as Rivier held all but two teams to single digits goals on the season. The Salem, N.H. Grad Student was third in caused turnovers in the GNAC with 39. |

GOALKEEPER OF THE YEAR Sawyer Gagnon, Rivier Sawyer Gagnon’s impact in the net was another reason for Rivier’s dominant defense this season. The Gotham, Maine Grad Student was amongst the top-three in a few goalie categories. Gagnon boasted a league-leading 7.02 goals against average, which stands second in DIII, a 61.8% save percentage which was good for fifth in the nation, and had a league-leading 14 wins in net for the Raiders. Gagnon had nine games of 10+ saves and posted a save percentage of 60% or better in 11 of his 15 appearances. He earned GNAC Goalkeeper of the Week three times this past season as well. |

FACEOFF SPECIALIST OF THE YEAR Nathan Powers, Anna Maria Nathan Powers dominated in the circle for the Amcats as the Face-off man. The Putney, VT. Senior made his presence not only known in the conference but nationally as he led both the GNAC and DIII in faceoff percentage at 77.7%. Powers won 254 faceoffs on the season which led the conference and was good for eighth in the nation. He didn’t just stop there as he led DIII in ground balls per game at 13.20 and was fourth in the country with a GNAC-leading 198 ground balls total. |

ROOKIE OF THE YEAR Jack Condon, Lasell Jack Condon made a mark in his freshman campaign for the Lasers this past season. The Atkinson, N.H. native led the league in goals scored at 66, which was also great for seventh in the nation. Condon delivered three or more goals in 12 of his 19 appearances for Lasell, which his best performance came with nine finding the back of the net in a conference win over Albertus Magnus. He was second in the league in total points at well, finishing with 88. Condon won GNAC Rookie of the Week six times while also earning two Player of the Week honors. |

COACH OF THE YEAR Dieter Treusdell, Lasell Dieter Treusdell led the Lasell to a 14-5 regular season and recorded a 5-0 mark in GNAC South Division play (9-0 in conference). The Lasers were the No. 1 seed in the South Division for the GNAC Championship Tournament. Under Treusdell, Lasell was one of the top teams statistically on both sides of the field. His group scored a league-leading 248 goals, 147 of them in conference play, while also causing a league-best 229 turnovers (14th in DIII), 119 in GNAC play. The Lasers were second in goals-against averaged at 8.2 goals-allowed per game and a league-leading 5.3 in GNAC play. Lasell also lead the league in total ground balls with 625. Their balanced production on offense/defense led the Lasers to the GNAC Championship Game. |
